I would just chalk it up to bad luck man....sometimes if u do zone and if u have higher % D "middle" or closer to LOS...and the guy has everything flying high and deep all the time...there is nothing u can do about it...

I just cannot beat beat carolins, in the last 3 games Ive carried 10 pt leads or over into the second half only to have him beat me by 1 or 3...getting real frustrating... Ive changed my 2 1/2 3 times.... and those settings work great with the other teeams...just not carolina

yeah, I had that problem before last year too......it seems that the addition of Mitchell seemed to cure that problem.....

Yeah, he is a good complement to Massey...it gives me a dominant NT and DE...He had better be good, his trade value was over 3000....I gave up almost 2 drafts to get him, but like you, I couldn't seem to get around Carolina...since his arrival, I haven't lost to them yet..... .....  .....

Just a FYI....If anyone is interested, the Browns are open in the Payton league, and they are a pretty good team....it appears they will be in the playoffs, and they have alot of young players.....this league is not the most interesting yet, but it has become better and better every year......there are a total of 7 openings....they include Pitt, NJ, NE, Indy, Philly, GB....

well it should be an easy win in the DTer league. I just had to put 5 guys on the IR... while Im making a wild card push ..... The FOUTS league however is game on!!!!!
besides I think Im like 1-5 between both leagues against you....

Well, I got you in the FOUTS league...... .....but I played Dawg66 in the DT league......I play you in the DT league tonight.....and you already beat me once this year.....plus, Oliver knows my formations and play calling........  ....... ...I'm gonna have to pull out the "wildcat" or something........

My rookie in another league has 18 sacks this year. he was 73 or something and has 99 potential. He is up to 85 now.
So happy i got my first stud...and i think i picked him at 17. Can't believe he dropped out of top 10. I have no luck with RBs...ive drafted bo jackson, preist holmes and they both have sucked balls.

Well everyone knows I am always up for a good trade scenario,but right now I plan on having the final pick in the round .
Well actually I traded away most of my drafts for the next couple seasons to make a strong run at a title in the next couple seasons.

I pretty much traded away 2 whole drafts to get DL Mitchell, but it has been WELL worth it....he owns pretty much every record for a DL....he tied the record for most sacks in a game with 6, but it didn't show up since I didn't beat it.....and DL Massey, I drafted a few seasona ago.....I have yet to draft a RB, I usually trade for my players for some reason and trade all of my picks away. Oh well, like the old saying goes....don't fix it until it's broke.....

Just kinda an FYI.....I don't know if you all check on your owner rankings at all, but I just cracked the top 100 and I was looking at the top 10....the owner of Miami..."7hunter" is the #7 ranked owner on this site and in the FOUTS league Rabid, "Benford" who owns St. Louis is the #10 ranked owner....not that anyone really cares.......just bragging rights I guess........

As far as the Studs go...I'm going to assume that you consider a stud 95+......and you are correct I guess. Not counting ST players, I have 11 players that are 95+ potential. But the thing that I THINK is the major reason that I am having some success is, that 7 of those players are in the trenches, most of them on the OL. It was just 2 season ago I traded for DL-Mitchell, and since then, 2 Sim-Bowls.....and I did it once last seaosn with an 100 overall RB Emmitt Smith clone, and this year with a RB by a committy due to the serious injury bug....so I don't think you necessarily need studs all over the team. Just in a few places.

I set a goal with all of my teams in that I will not have any players below an 85 potential after 5 seasons...and I have pretty much done that.....the rest is simply done in trades, the draft and training camp......mostly training camp.....
I definitely don't know how I'm getting so lucky with this team to be honest. I currently have 5 teams, each with at least 4 seasons completed. I have only been to 3 Sim-Bowls, 2 of which have been with Tampa in the DT league. But, if there is something to this set-up, I should know shortly. I have set my Tennessee team in the FOUTS league up pretty close to the same as this team...so we will see......I think they are currently 12-1. But, this is also the team that I can't seem to ever stop the RB for the Colts.......and he is 1 game back.....I have never even won the division title with this team, so something seems to be working......I'll keep my fingers crossed that they go all the way this year.... .... And if they do, I am gonna do some serious overhauling of all the rest of my teams, that is for sure.......

DAMN.....I blew it....I can't believe I got tore up in the air when I have 3-100 overall DB's and a 94 overall............I swear there is something about my Tenn team that will not let me win crap.......  .....
Holding him to under 100 yds is a win in itself...congrats on that...!!! Good Luck the rest of the way...Are you gonna be in the draft.....???? I traded Mitchell and got a whole bunch of picks......and I threw you an offer for your 11th pick...not sure what you wanted......let me know what u r looking for.....

I am completely out of this draft, I only had a second round pick going in and I traded that for a veteran DB that I am hoping is the final piece. After training camp my team should be at about a 93 Overall. I have put all my eggs in one basket and I have about 3 or maybe 4 seasons to compete and try to win a title,after that my key players will be getting old and starting to retire.

My team updated.
I tell ya i'm about ready to give this game up. I'm starting to think that player and team ratings mean jack crap. Got a QB in another league who is a 94 accuracy and a 121 endurance and i mostly have him throwing high % throws yet he has 8 ints in 7 games and only has a 48% completion rate. Got an Eric Dickerson clone at RB who has a 109 Fumble protection yet he fumbles about every game. Just played a game where the opposing team ran back an 88yd KO for a TD even though my teams Special team defense is rated 98 and the other teams KR only has a 75 rated Breakaway ability.

Do you by chance check the gameplans before each game.....???? The reason that I ask is the same thing is sorta happening to me this season in the Caarson league.....my QB is really good at accuracy and pocket awareness I think, and this season he has 24 TD's and 24 INT's....that is as many as he has had the last 2 years combined......in fact, he still hold the records for highest QB rating over a season. I thin kwhat is happening is since they started releasing the gameplan, it kinda changed everything. Some people change theirs, and others don't. So if you use it to set your gameplans to work against what they ran their last game, and they change theirs every night, chances are you just set your gamplan up to exactly the opposite of what you would want to do......at least, that is what I think was happening to me.....I try to set mine up strictly on stats and their roster.....but I still can't keep myself from at leasst looking at it, and every once in awhile it will casue me to change my strategy.....just a thought....

i know exactly what you mean man....i hate it...i never know what to do. I do the same(stats, palyers) and try to gameplan like i would before the scoting report thing came out. I honestly think that it has helped me more then it has hurt me tho. Also, it forces people to play more honest. you actually need to gameplan. I think it's great, but i hate it cuz my oppnonent has the same advantage i do lol.
