Imagine them to be as good as they possibly can be. Or, imagine them both to be average.

I went with CFS. I might have taken ham if you specified Easter ham. I dont like deli ham unless you add another meat from the deli. Plus, I hadnt had a good CFS in a while. You can get a ham sandwhich any day. They are a dime a dozen

I also did not know what CFS smothered in White Death was so I did a google search.
Quote:
Premium Chicken Fried Steak As much as the south would like to claim her, the CFS is pure Texas, the German immigrants came to Texas with their "wiener schnitzel" and the Texans smothered it in gravy and abbra-cadabbra--- PURE AMERICANA. It's only served one way, smothered in white gravy with mashed potatoes and green beans, don't even ask.

you can't beat a good Chicken Fried Steak.
it was mentioned in the other thread that you have to ensure that it is cooked in pork fat, which is true.
equally important is the quality of the sausage in the white gravy. you need a really peppery sausage with a good consistency in the gravy.
the breading is best to be a potato breading, but anything that gives you a real crispy layer can work.
-----------------------------
ham sandwhich with swiss cheese, stadium mustard and a tangy pickle on sourdough bread is pretty good, but it just cannot compete.

CFS. not even close.
I would probably take a glass of water over a ham sandwich if I wasn't too hungry.

Could I just have a wiener schnitzel sandwich? Hold the gravy, it adds nothing imo.

Ham, colby, horseradish and mustard on deli rye. No cfs would top that.

Turkey sandwich at 5 AM was pretty good this morning. Just saying. (I have a bad habit of sleep eating - most of the time it's more like 2 or 3 AM. Don't know why. Must be something in my genes - and I passed it on to my son. Last time he was home I met him in the kitchen - I had just gotten done eating, he had just come down to eat - at 3 AM. I figure out what I'm doing about halfway through eating - when I saw him that night/morning I said "what are you doing?"
He didn't say anything - I watched him go to the fridge - make a sandwich - then I went back to bed.

I would like the Chicken Fried Steak... before they tax it because its too fattening or put it on the non-approved government food list...

Once I figured out WTC you were talking about I picked the CFS. Texas Roadhouse has an amazing one with two sides for $10. Good times.

Well if the Ham sandwich is as good as Hillis, I'll take that. If the CFS is Harrison I'll take that over the ham sandwich. If Vickers would be the potatoes, who would be the green beans? Man I'm hungry.

Chicken Fried Steak...and i make a good one.
When I hit 198, I may make some.
I won't do it at 199 because it will surely put me back to the 200 lb mark.

Of the choices.
Chicken Fried Steak with White Gravy
or
A Ham Sandwich
I am not a big fan of ham ... anything. Not bacon or any of that.
If you had written a Turkey Sandwich, that would make it a much more difficult choice. But, you wrote Ham instead of Turkey. So, have to go with the Chicken Fried Steak smothered in White Gravy.
