China Hacks US Chamber
      #881054 - Wed Dec 21 2011 07:49 AM

Having read this article I was left wondering if the only threat to kill off technology is technology itself? The last paragraph in this story mentions
that the best you can hope for is to know someone has hacked you, not stop them. Seems like just an evolving game of cat and mouse and eventually the safest protection will be notebooks, paper ledgers and safes!

Is that like the philosophy that the only way to defeat weapons is with bigger weapons? Until eventually everybody gets blasted back to the stone age and there are no more weapons.

I defeat weapons with superior tactics which I suppose could be applied to the hacking game as well.

if you have a system not connected to the rest of the world, then you cannot be hacked.

our national security files are not connected.

there's plenty of harm that can be done, but the most precious materials are not hackable (unless done from inside).
