He has had more NFL success than Luck or RGIII or Tannehill, I think that is his major selling point. In a city that is dying to "win now" he has those first couple years where QBs adapt to NFL life, learn the speed of the game, get used to the extended schedule, etc... he already has all of that behind him. I think its foolish to think he's going to come here and look like he did against detroit on a regular basis, that was a career game for even great veteran QBs... Drew Brees played well against the same defense the next week and couldn't come close to replicating those numbers..
I was outspokenly against Flynn a couple months ago but have softened on that position.. now I'm in the "I'm ok with it as long as we don't seriously overpay" column.
