I was talking to a guy from Missouri a year ago on a cruise, actually a college basketball ref, but not D1. He began explaining the Missouri Kansas Rivalry to me and how it dates back to the civil war. Being a history teacher, I knew about the history between those states, but never figured it would develop into a college sport rivalry

And coming from Connecticut, I had no idea it was such a big deal.
