RIP Mike Connors and John Hurt Remember Connors? And John Hurt had numerous memorable movie roles. My favorite (from Spaceballs): (reprising the alien coming out of his stomach scene from the movie Alien) Also from Elephant Man(I coincidentally quoted this movie in another thread over the weekend - “I...am...a...man!”)(because the Elephant Man wore a bag over his head when he went out)

You may have to explain to a large portion of our posters just what that TV Guide thing is

RIP both.
Re: Hurt - In addition to Kane in Alien and his performance in The Elephant Man, I really liked his roles in Owning Mahoney and The Climb ('97 version).

RIP to both men. and my condolences to their families.
I loved Mannix when I was a kid. I was really young when it 1st aired, but in latter seasons I got to stay up and watch it. It was almost a sign of growing up when I got to watch the 9:00 shows, and then the 10:00 shows, and finally when i got to watch the Tonight Show, lol Quite different from today.

Hurt is one of those guys you didn't realize he was in as much as he was, from alien, spaceballs, Harry potter, hellboy and dr. who to name a few..I really enjoyed him in elephant man, not sure it works without him

There's been a lot of hand-wringing over the famous people who died in 2016. And now, the devastating news that the guy in Mannix has died, even though he hasn't been notable since 1975, and only remembered by crusty old folks. A lot of whom thought he was already dead.
But I want to be positive. Let's celebrate the old ones who are hanging on. By old I mean in their 80s at least...... • Chuck Berry. Not dead. • Betty White.
Any others?
