It's funny. People claim Trump is a great businessman, but can anyone remember a business he's had for 10+ years that he didn't run into the ground? I can only think about his buildings. Every other business plan of his has failed miserably, and he used IRS chicanery to avoid bottoming out along with his businesses.

You might want to read a book or 2. His big failures was the New Jersey Generals and the Trump Shuttle. His successful ventures are numerous....look it up.

His Golf Course, Wollman Rink, his books, The Apprentice...plus he's made millions upon millions on property he never built on.

His successful ventures are only real estate. His casinos failed, he drove his football league into the ground, his airlines were a gigantic failure. His mortgage company was a failure, his vodka line was a failure. He's done great at building and restoring buildings, but I prefer businessmen who actually build their business.

IIRC his dad's business was worth about 40 mil when Don took over. He moved the business to Manhattan and now is worth multi billions. The true amount is debatable but if that's not building a business, I don't know what is.

All businessmen have failures so that is not indicative of his success. You want to discount his casinos but they're still up and running. Just because he filed chapter 13 a few times on them doesn't mean they failed.

You clearly don't remember the USFL and how integral DJT was to ruining that league. Also taking $40 mil dollars in 1970 and turning it into a sub billion dollar fortune isn't very impressive to me. Just investing that into a bland stock index could produce billions of dollars over a 40 year period. Again, I prefer my businessmen to have built their fortune. Not just inherited it. I'm 100% confident that I could give 40 mil to any member of this community and they would match the career gains of DJT.

So he was trying to save the league when he moved the USFL from a spring schedule to a fall schedule and then were immediately dropped by cable because of that move. That spawned his lawsuit.
