Hey Guys,
I'm a UK browns backer, will be staying in Cleveland a couple of weeks for the Bengals & Jets games. Will try to hit up tailgates at the Muni Lot while I'm in Cle
I was thinking of hiring a car and driving to Kent State for their game vs Buffalo on Sat 30th. What is the gameday like there? Is it worth the trip? Will there be much tailgating & partying going on? Is it worth getting a hotel room there for a night have getting good & drunk or should I save myself for the Sunday?
Any advice gladly received!
Cheers
James

James: It's never a good idea to get drunk, particularly in a strange place. You'll likely hate yourself next morning Maybe one of the other posters can fill you in on the game info...

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

No, not worth the trip at all, not much tailgating and not very many people even go to the games. and I say this as a Kent State Alum

Sounds like a lot of fun UK. I’m sure there’s some party sports bars in Cleveland where you’re certain to have a lot of fun with other Browns fans. Maybe the Flats? The locals will know. A Kent State party trip might be a little tough. The Golden Flash are not doing very well and it’s hard for me to picture a stranger coming to town and finding a good time. Hey, it’s possible. If it were me, I wouldn’t plan on an overnight in Kent. But you absolutely, positively never know. You might run into a decent crowd at the game. Hook up with 3-4 cool people and it doesn’t matter where you’re partying. .

By the way, the Indians will be starting their play-off games when you're in town. (October 3rd-4th?) Even if you're not an Indians fan, most of the local Indians fans will also be Browns fans. And that has good time stamped all over it.

Save yourself for tailgating in the Muni, then go ahead and get good and drunk if you want to. Been there and done that more times than I can remember

We both know that doing that isn't the hard part but sometimes remembering it is.

Brilliant, thanks for the replies. I'm definitely hoping to do a few Indians playoff games.

Prepare yourself for our rednecks bro. If you don't stand for our national anthem you'll be booed by those fans who claim they are boycotting all NFL games but still show up every Sunday in full regalia. Enjoy.

So it's okay for you to use what you think is a derogatory name? Let's face it, you used "redneck" in as negative a manner as you could.
I find it humorous, but it's a big fail on your part.
Doctors, lawyers, personnel managers, factory workers, CFO's, CEO's, the unemployed, nurses, etc. You're calling all of them rednecks? I bet they'd laugh at you.

Apparently UK Brown didn't survive the trip.
