He practiced for a total of 30 mionutes with the team, and Hard Knocks makes it look like he was there much more. The dude is a head case.

yeah, the Steelers (and Bills) must be so happy he’s not with them ... at this point, I don’t think he’s worth it

That was a nasty hit ... yes, the Vikings dude shouldn’t have lowered his shoulder, but it was also a very late slide. It was a bad scenario

Seahawks rookie WR Metcalf set for knee surgery

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27417334/seahawks-rookie-wr-metcalf-set-knee-surgery

No real specifics, sounds like a simple procedure that will have him ready to go very early in the season... Unless the Redskins medical staff intervenes.

Just saw that Cam Newton injured his foot ... maybe not serious, but still not a good thing (preseason sucks, of course)

Yeah, you want them to play and gain chemistry and gear it up.... but the risk is just so large with the prime time guys

I want the starters wearing bubble wrap if they are on the field.

I didn't look at the depth chart. I wonder which RB (Hilliard or D'Ernest) will be picking up that extra blitzer the first couple of series......

Cam has been snakebit with injuries. I hope this one isn't serious because he has talent and is fun to watch. I do not personally care for some of the nonsense that comes with his sideshow, but on the field, he does shine regularly. Panthers look decent IMO.

Do they have hope without Cam though?

I know that's a pretty common thought, but how do they get better, how do they develop timing with teammates without playing against another team...

As much as I'd like to keep them all in a bubble wrap, it just won't work

You gotta play them. You just don't have to play them the entire game. But, the nature of the game means something horrible can happen at any time. Hell, look at jimmy G's injury!
He wasn't even playing and he suffered a bad knee injury. It happens.

As Freddie said in a recent presser...you want players to be a bit sore so that they know what they will need to do to win late in a season when most of them will be sore. Adversity.

And a prudent move on thier behalf given the circumstances.

Not to mention a bigger role perhaps ... so he might just get his wish.

It almost reminded me of McGahee’s .. you hate to see the leg planted and hit like that

Yeah, it was similar. Chubb's injury in college looked similar to those two, as well.

All were very ugly. I've had knee injuries, but never anything like that!

I always loved Lamar Miller and said he was the best back coming out that year...to think Trich,David Wilson, Isiah Peed, Bernard Pierce, Ronnie Hillman all went ahead of him) tough injury for a really good dude...wishing him a speedy recovery, however I wouldn't be surprised if he damaged more than one ligament.

Source: Re: #Eagles WR Desean Jackson fractured ring finger, Jackson was told it is a 3-4 wk injury. He's scheduled to try out a custom splint tomorrow, at this time. I'm told, he's not sure what his comfort will be playing w/it, will determine later if he'll play b4 fully healed
