A night game means all day tailgate! We'll be starting around 1 or 1:30 so stop on by. It's Taco Day, we'll have chicken, steak, pork, beef and a host of toppings.

Hopefully we get the offense in order this game as it's going to be a tough one.

PM me for a map of where we are located if you want to stop by.

Go Browns!

I will be there, but not that early. I do a poor job of pacing myself.

What time do you all typically start for a 1pm game?

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I started one time around that time and ate so much that I nearly missed the game in the bathroom haha

Usually drinking is what causes that. Food takes about 8-12 hours to work through the system.

That's a douche move.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Possibly. But it's also an attempt at creating at least a SAFER environment.

More likely it's a maneuver to limit how much overtime/double-time Sunday pay is going out for this. I'm not complaining about that, either... just saying that's the more likely reason. The game starts 7 hours later than normal, so Muni opens like 7 hours later. Same payroll costs.

Browns is the Browns

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

I think that's a side effect, however I think the major concern is all day drinking, fights, people getting hurt, etc.

They do similar in Pittsburgh, the lots open up later if its a night game.

Actually it's already illegal to drink in the muni lot. If safety is the issue it's because they aren't enforcing their own rules.

City of Cleveland reminds fans of muni lot rules before Browns home opener

https://fox8.com/2018/09/06/city-of-clev...ns-home-opener/

The idea of the cost perspective makes perfect sense however. I mean it must be hard to turn a profit only charging $25 a pop to park. (Yes, that is sarcasm.)

You've apparently never tailgated in the Muni. Can't arrest 5,000 people.

Probably true, but I do think public safety plays a part.

I've tailgated in the Muni lot several times. No need to have rules if you won't enforce them. And who said anything about arresting anyone? Handing out stiff fines would be a good start.

I've never heard you say you can't arrest 5000 people when there's an ANTIFA protest.

wink

We tailgate in Burke so that won't be an issue for us - it's an airport parking lot so it is always open (at least it has been in years past). Didn't realize how cheap it was to park at Muni, we pay $40 at Burke.

I paid $50 last game....I was paying $10 in the flats, once we started winning it went to $15. It's probably $20 now. Pat went with me last game. She doesn't like the flats, thinks it's seedy. I say it is because she doesn't like to walk up and down the hill.

It is what it is folks. As Browns fans we have gotten off cheap for a long time. Our prices are about to enter the real NFL game cost.

I live about 100 miles from Atlanta and 120 miles from Nashville. I am enough of a fan of each team that I have gone to a non-Browns game to each, plus almost all the times the Browns played there.

Trust me, it isn't cheap on gameday...

I like hockey and try to go to a few Preds games a year. Several years ago I could book a room at the Marriott Courtyard West end, out by the Vandy campus for about $140 a night...easy cab ride to the strip....now, you might pay $285 or more for a weekend room when the Preds are in town..

It is what it is. Demand drives prices
