Man, it seems like lately we are all having issues with our pets.

About a week ago, I noticed one of my dogs had a bump on her belly above where she was spayed. I took her outside and there was a little blood in her stool.

I called the vet and they scheduled to have us come in.

I could tell right off the bat the Vet was concerned. Said he wanted taken off right away.

Scheduled surgery for Monday. Shes only 8. She was abused as a puppy before we rescued her. When we first got her, anyone that came near her she would squat, tremble, and pee instantly. She warmed up to my dad before anyone which was odd since he didn't live with us. But for about a month he was the only person who could pet her. She would let us take her out and stuff, but wouldn't let us pet her.

I assume she was kicked a lot. If I left a pair of boots out, she would tremble and do anything she could to walk around or away from them. SMH.

Since then, she is still skiddish of new people, but not like she was. She has become my son's best friend and just a good all around pup. Never needed a leash for her, never would walk more than a few steps away. never chased, snapped, or growled. Extremely smart.

My other dog, hes a doofus, a big giant doofus.

Hope everything turns out okay. Eight is too young.

I still struggle with the loss of my boy. It’s been about two months and I still get choked up and tearful thinking about him, or talking with others about him.

May this just be a small part of a much longer life story together.

Hope this is just a bump in the road for you guys.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Hope everything turns out OK.

Dogs are not only like our kids, they really become family members. It hurts when anything seems wrong.

I'm already pulling hard for your grrrl.
We Dog Folk know what you're going through

I love that you are committed to raising a rescue. All our dogs (but one) have been rescues. All come with some sort of baggage, but we're always amazed at how well they overcome their past, and become happy participants in their own futures.

You are Good People, willit. You deserve for your little grrrl to get healthy a,d live many more happy years with the fam.

Wishing you all the best with this. It's been several years since I lost my Tanni Bone from cancer and I'm still not over it.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Appreciate that, Clem. Means a lot coming from someone I respect as much as you.

To update, we dropped her off yesterday and she is having surgery today, so I will know more at 2pm when they are scheduled to call with an update. Hoping to pick her up Wednesday after work.

Sorry to hear that, Pitt.

Thank you for the wishes. Shes a good dog and hopefully well be able to spoil her a little more. The surgery is not the part I am worried about, the severity of the tumor is what is troublesome.
