The NFL has been using the same template when making the schedule for many years. Assuming next year following the tradition, our opponents are as follows. I won't list our division opponents, you know who those are.

Home

Houston, Indy, Philly, Washington, AFC West...Raiders look like the best bet at this point, but it could also be the Broncos or Chargers

Away

Titans, Giants, Cowboys, Jacksonville, AFC East Looks pretty solid to be the Jets.

Looks like 1 4PM start at home based on the west coast team visiting and one against the Cowboys when we go there.

At a glance it looks 50 times easier than this year. But things always change and we can ALWAYS manage to get worse.

Gimme THANKSGIVING!!!!

And no divisional games 2 weeks apart!

Didn't think of that. Always a possibility with the Cowboys on the schedule.

Cool, never saw that before. Pretty useful. Thanks

The Jets pick looked solid. The AFC West was hard to predict.

Being matched up with the AFC South and NFC East, along with the (likely) matchups with 3rd place teams in the AFC West/East is definitely one of the more favorable schedules.

We lost to two 3rd string QBs. There’s no such thing as favorable when it comes to the browns.

Oh I know. Chalk it up to trying to be a little more positive these days.

The Browns have to get their act together or doesn't matter what the schedule looks like.

We lost to a couple of 3rd string QBs, but beat 2 teams who are a combined 19-5, in the Bills and Ravens.

We split with the Steelers this year. When is the last time we managed that? We blew out the Ravens. People are freaking out about the loss to the Steelers ..... but how many times have we won in 3 Sewers Stadium in the past 20 years?

This is a young team. I think we sometimes forget that. We have a new head coach, and a new coaching staff. Success is not always linear. It's not a graph with the arrow pointing straight up. There are often fits and starts, ups and downs ... for coaches, as well as for players. We are going through this right now. It sucks ..... but it is part of growing a team.

I agree YTBF. The whiners are starting to get old.

And most of them never go to games.

I don't see anybody whining. It's just a realization that the Browns have to take care of business or it doesn't really matter what the schedule looks like.

Look at it this way. Fans of other teams may be looking at the 2020 schedule as well. How many of them are looking at the Browns game and saying, "oh wow, there's no way we're going to beat them." Not many I'm guessing.

So our schedule will look something like:

Week 1 - at Jacksonville (1:00 CBS) ... we finally open on the road
Week 2 - Washington (1:00 FOX)
Week 3 - at Pittsburgh (4:25 CBS) ... they’ll put us in a CBS prime window for this one
Week 4 - Houston (1:00 CBS)
Week 5 - at NY Giants (8:20 NBC) ... the return of OBJ warrants SNF in New York
Week 6 - Baltimore (1:00 CBS)
Week 7 - BYE
Week 8 - at Dallas (4:25 CBS) ... Thanksgiving would be nice, but it’s not likely due to scheduling
Week 9 - Indianapolis (1:00 CBS)
Week 10 - at Cincinnati (1:00 CBS)
Week 11 - Philadelphia (1:00 FOX)
Week 12 - at Baltimore (8:20 FOX) .... Thursday Night Football at Baltimore
Week 13 - at Tennessee (1:00 CBS)
Week 14 - LA Chargers 4:25 CBS) ... late game for a West Coast team coming east
Week 15 - Pittsburgh (8:15 ESPN) ... Our lone MNF game in the snow
Week 16 - at NY Jets (1:00 CBS)
Week 17 - Cincinnati (1:00 CBS) ... finish up at home this time against Cincy

Us and the Steelers could be good for the third non-Lions or Cowboys Thanksgiving game.

That said, they'd probably pick the Ravens over us.

You can put lipstick on a pig all you want, it’s still a pig.

We got our asses busted in our home opener. Wet the bed against the rams a bunch of teams are beating, got absolutely smoked by San Fran, embarrassed ourselves against a winnable New England team, choked against Seattle, got embarrassed by a 3rd stringer at Denver, and lost to another 3rd stringer at Pittsburgh.

We are on pace to finish with a WORSE record than last year. By the way, last time I checked, we were young last year too, and had more FO/coach turmoil then than we do now.

I don’t care about splitting Pittsburgh when we should’ve SWEPT them.

Y’all and these moral victories. Moral victories don’t get us a divisional title, never mind a playoff birth or win, for that matter.

The Browns will draw teams from the AFC South and NFC East in 2020.

On top of its usual games against AFC North rivals Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Baltimore, Cleveland is set to host the Colts and Texans from the AFC South, the Eagles and Redskins from the NFC East and the Raiders from the AFC West. The Browns were paired up with the Raiders because both teams finished in third place in their respective division.

Cleveland will hit the road for games against the Jaguars and Titans from the AFC South, Cowboys and Giants from the NFC South and the third-place Jets from the AFC East. That means Cleveland will play twice at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Four of these teams made the playoffs this season.

The full details of the Browns' schedule will released during the spring.

Home
Ravens
Steelers
Bengals
Colts
Texans
Eagles
Redskins
Raiders

Away

Ravens
Steelers
Bengals
Jaguars
Titans
Cowboys
Giants
Jets

So, we get Denver at home and NY Jets away as the two different games from our division rivals
