I don’t understand why an AR15 is even considered an ‘assault rifle’ by some. It’s just another semiautomatic rifle. Many probably assume ‘AR’ stands for assault rifle and not the original company that created the rifle, Armalite...good for Virginia!

The term assault weapon makes me facepalm almost everytime I hear it. Every weapon is an assault weapon if you assault someone with it. I have an assault Maglite in my SUV.

I have a scary looking pump shotgun that will hold in it's twin magazine tubes, 24 slugs.
I must admit, these devils are tough to load though.

When our government and solders stop carrying AR-15's and other weapons like them then and only then can people be expected to not be able to carry them for themselves. As long as our military owns them then we should be able to as well.
That would mean you should be able to own fully automatic weapons. Tanks. grenade launchers and guided missiles.

I believe in owning guns and I also believe that people who own guns should have to have mandatory mental health checkups to maintain that right. The same as I would require to own and operate ANY dangerous piece of machinery.
