When I saw the thread title I was thinking ‘I know that name’ , but couldn’t match the name with the man. Too bad, but he had a long, and I assume, a good life.

Lean On Me has definitely resonated over the years. Soulful tune.

"Menagerie" was my favorite of his albums.

"Hello Like Before" was one my favorite of his songs.

Lots and lots of good stuff.

RIP

(Also wanted to add that I read Ellis Marsalis passed away. We've been losing some good ones recently.)

RIP to a legend

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Damn! I loved Bil Whithers' music. He was also a great person from what I understand.

He did some great stuff w/Grover Washington Jr. The latter was an excellent sax player. This is one of my favorites:

I recalled watching Bill speak to the USC football team while Pete Carrol was the HC there. He brought Bill in for motivational purposes, which I thought was cool. I did a quick search and could not find the entire video, but here is part of it. Pretty cool.

We lost another great one, y'all.
