I have been a big fan of this guy for many years. He is the man of slide guitar playing. But on top of that there is a honesty in his music. Hard to describe. The songs he plays. The overall sound. I am going to show three numbers but there are lots that I love.VIDEO VIDEO VIDEO

From the Stones' iconic "Sticky Fingers" album, Ry Cooder plays slide on "Sister Morphine". A couple decades later and it would have been a huge hit, but it was too controversial to get any radio air when the album was released in the early 70's.VIDEO
