Lists like these are so subjective and most of the comments that were posted did nothing but complain. I chose not to evaluate the list too much, but instead just reveled in taking a trip down memory lane. Please feel free to add your own favorite acoustic guitar intros.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

One of the comments mentioned "Can't Find My Way Home" by Blind Faith, and I have to agree. I'm not sure if its Steve Winwood or Eric Clapton, or maybe a duet of them both, but I really like it.

I enjoyed the listen as well - some good memories. Thanks for posting it.

As far as the rock stuff (acoustic intro), I always liked the sound of Zebra's "Who's Behind the Door."

AL Dimeola's acoustic intro to his cover of "Blackbird" is memorable.

I had a couple ideas for acoustic bass intros, but they may not belong in this thread.

Man, the dude nailed a lot of mine. Boston was one of the first that came to mind, then Over the Hills, then Wish You Were Here.

My favorite will never top any charts (except mine lol). My favorite band, with a song that came when I needed it most. I lost both my parents at a very young age. I bottled a lot of emotions and it led to a lot of turmoil in life, all coming to a head about the time the song came out. It reminded me of one of the things I stashed away... the nightmares. It was a nice way to put it behind me - knowing they're both "smiling next to me". Part of the soundtrack of my life that starts at a time when I began "reinventing myself"...

Wow. I didn't think that anyone else had ever heard of Zebra. They played Filthy McNasty's in Kent fairly often on Sunday nights, back in the day.

Rick Beato... I've watched almost all his videos on Youtube, he really does some good stuff and has some interesting insight into the music world.

I saw Zebra at McNasy's! I saw a lot of great bands there, we never missed the regional favorites - The Godz.

Fate's Warning, Zebra, The Ramones and Warrant probably topped the list as far as national fame.

That just might be one of the best acoustic songs ever written. There's a version on Youtube of a much older Winwood playing it by a fire that's really good. It's one of my favorite songs to play, ....though my simplified sloppy version won't impress anybody.

Here's another Steve Winwood acoustic solo that's pretty impressive for an old man. (Hope we're not derailing this thread to badly):

I enjoy most of Rick Beato's videos. He does a lot of videos like this, best bass intros, drum intros, etc etc etc.

Most of his top 20 videos are not really rankings, just his top picks in no real order.

Clem turned me on to the guy awhile ago. It was a video about Roundabout by Yes. It was awesome.

I watched some of his other videos last night. Some good stuff. I loved how he had Gilmour's Comfortably Numb as the number 1 guitar solo of all-time.

This particular topic might be hard for us to stay on track because he said "acoustic guitar intros" and not acoustic solos.

I do like the "hook" angle, though.

I think I would have included the opening to Thick as a Brick or Dun Ringle by Jethro Tull.

I remember when Filthys was the Draft House then I used trade hands there when it was called the Palamino Club with ameuter fight night

As far as Warrant goes yeah they made the trek
To Filthys when opened up for Poison on the Cherry Pie tour.
Watched Poison open with LWTCDI and left
Jani Lane was a tremendous song writer

As far as acoustic intros goes Uncle Toms Cabin gets the job done

I will go with #8 Wish You Were Here as my favorite. I listen to it every week.

There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.

This guy has a pretty big following.

He's also the guy behind "What Makes This Song So Great?"

He's generally quite knowledgeable and professionally plugged-in, so I check him out on occasion.
