We had a discussion about regardless and regardless several years ago on this board.

Regardless means without regard or to despite something. The prefix "ir" is Latin and means "not." Thus, "regardless" would be a double negative and it is not considered a word. In recent years, some will accept it because they say it brings more "emphasis" to their stance. LOL

I think "ir" is best used w/words like "irrelevant," much like our recent discussions. LOL

See - wouldn't let you post it either. Seems the discussion, years ago, led to the prohibition of the word. Now the only way to use the word

is in a picture.

Damn, I didn't proofread my post. I saw the misspelling thing, but I really didn't think it would not allow the word. I thought you were just talking about it being misspelled, but you were being literal. That's freaking hilarious.

Why does it matter so much?

Why does a misspelled word matter so much? There are people on this board that have a problem with knowing the difference between to and too. Figure it out. wink

It doesn't. It's called humor. They were poking fun.

And how often have you seen the grammar Nazi's do this? Come on man, look who started it and the history. Don't be naive.

I've seen it periodically done. Not enough for this grammar nazi, but I've seen it plenty of times before (and done it myself).

As far as leg-pulling goes, it's about as good-natured as it's going to get around here, lately.

Don't get going with porpoises, you will tick off the seacows, and you don't want to tick off the seacows.

You could borrow my keyboard from last night. Auto correct didn't do squat for my posts.

It is for things like this that I need to add heat emojis to the site.

It doesn't. YOU made it a big deal by trying to have the last word, again!!

Just in the last week or so, someone (not me) corrected a word Swish used incorrectly. Know what swish said? "Thanks, I hate using the wrong word." Something like that, and that was the end of it.

You? Well, you can see how this went.

There is also a difference between misspelling a word and using the wrong word.
