https://247sports.com/nfl/cleveland-brow...eek--152566312/BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns were rewarded by the NFL for their performance in last weeks 49-38 win over the Dallas Cowboys as a team. Individually, one of their top players was rewarded with an individual honor as defensive end Myles Garrett was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance.
Garrett was honored for games played Oct. 1-5 (Week 4), the NFL announced Wednesday.
Garrett had a game-changing play when he strip-sacked quarterback Dak Prescott in the second quarter and the Browns capitalized on the turnover at the Cowboys' 34 yard line to take the lead, for good on their way to the win.
Besides the strip-sack, Garrett sacked Prescott earlier in the game, as well.
Garrett had three tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble. He helped the Browns improve to 3-1, their best start to a season since 2001. Garrett has recorded at least one sack and one forced fumble in three consecutive games.
Garrett has five sacks on the season and is tied for the NFL lead in sacks with Green Bay's Za'Darius Smith.
