I feel like the Browns seemed to give up on the running game vs. the Bengals, and also the trend has been down since the league leading stats the team had going into the Game at Dallas.

With a downward trend in being a run first offense, and with knowing how important, the agreement, over the years that board members have parroted we need to Run the Ball,

And Given The Injury to Chubb and knowing the players the Browns have healthy,
not to mention the injury to Odell.

How important is the running game going to be in the game, at home vs. the LV Raiders.

Thoughts.

It all boils down to matchups.

If we look at their front 7 and find them susceptible to the run, we're going to run all over them as much as we can, which will feed the play-action stuff. Conversely, the fact that Baker just lit up Cinci with 22 straight & 5 TDs will have the attention of their secondary coaches, so they may be reluctant to stack the box on us.

In the end, I think we'll simply see an ebb & flow as we figure out what stuff of ours works against them.

They are absolutely terrible against the pass, almost as bad as us, and only middle of the road against the run. To top is off, they are 31st in Points Per Game. Statistically, we should shred them almost at will and easily put up 35+ points - they give up over 32 per game.

We'll need it because their offense has been putting up points at the same rate as us, and they are passing REALLY well. Thankfully, they aren't running it all that well, so that should help us a little.

That’s my thought as well .... it probably depends on the matchup. Like Dallas: we knew we could just gash them and let that set up everything else.

Whereas Indy was gonna have to be a “throw to win” game.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Your last two paragraphs apply almost exactly in a vice versa from their perspective playing against the Browns
