The game is on FOX, not CBS.

I agree. He’s enjoyable to listen to

He was a very good linebacker in his days with Detroit. Too bad he didn’t get a chance to play in 1999, when we returned. Neck injury, as I recall.

He also mentions on TV once in awhile about how he’s a northeast Ohio boy.

Yeah, he played at Massillon. They are a storied program that can boast Paul Brown as a former coach. We used to play them all the time. They were known for recruiting players when that was not permitted.

Spielman was an animal in high school. I remember we were playing them in basketball one time and we got a steal. Spielman chased the dude down and tackled him by diving at his legs from behind. LMAO........it was hysterical.

I used to watch him play LBer at Ohio State. We were in the end zone for one game and the dude would be running towards the correct hole before the ball was even snapped. So, he wasn't just a tough guy. He was very cerebral as well.

My daughter used to play Travel softball and high school ball against his daughter. He could be quite vocal and rubbed some the wrong way. It didn't bother me. He is just an intense competitor. So, when you hear him get feisty on the telecasts, it is not an act.

Great stories, thanks.
That’s cool, that you played basketball against him in HS.

I wish they would flex Steelers vs Ravens to Sunday night. It's definitely the game of the week. My husband insisit on watching the Browns game so I won't get to see my team.

A clarification. I didn't play against Chris. I'm about 7-8 years older than he is. I was coaching at that time.

I like Spielman as well. Beats the lopsided announcing against the Bungles. Decidedly biased. Look at all the good stories for us that might have been done. Instead it was a lovefest for them, breathless praise for Cincy, and the announcer(s) were "coaches" mansplaining what had to be done for them to win, and slinging mud on us at 5-2 for whatever sounded as bad as possible for us, for Mayfield, etc.

Give us somebody else.

Everyone thinks the national announcers have a bias against their team. They don’t. You are just a homer that wants all the attention on your team.

I am a homer. I hear what I hear. It is lop-sided in the negative against us much of the time. Your opinion has no place or bearing on my post. Return to sender. I question your judgment.

Yep. But bro it could be on and off with the rain. Our run game has got to bring it today.

I was chuckling at some of Spielman's outbursts after reading your experiences with him.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
