Kind of a rare circumstance for us at the moment. We have a chance to SWEEP an entire division (AFC South) ... we beat the Colts, Jags, and Texans. Obviously the Titans will be the toughest task.

PLUS ... we could still sweep the NFC East if we can beat the Giants. How weird would it be to sweep one division, let alone two?

For you historians ... when is the last time we swept a division?! I can’t think of one.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

NFC East, this year, shouldn't count. :-p

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Only because they played the AFCN....

There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.

Yeah I was saying this with my family the other day.

If Wash/NYG played the AFC West/East, they might be 5-6 or 6-5 and right in the thick of the NFC playoff hunt instead of getting 3-4 losses vs the toughest division in football (IMO)

It's kinda like how every year people say "the Steelers had the easiest schedule in the NFL", yeah that's cuz they beat all the teams they played and lowered the win % by 5-10.

And we have to do all of that just to keep pace.

Obviously the Steelers are undefeated against the AFC South and the NFC Least. And the Ravens are undefeated against the NFC Least (3-0) with the Cowboys left and with just the loss to the Titans in the AFC South (2-1) with the Jaguars left.

Well Historically, before 1990,
Before the Browns returned in 1999 to make 31 teams in the league

and Before the Houston Texans iirc were an expansion team,

When Houston had the Oilers, before they moved to tenessee, Memphis, before Nashville and before

Before the Panthers and Jaguars became expansion teams.

In that time frame, the most recent two expansion teams, as far as my memory goes were the Bengals and Seahawks in 68' or maybe earlier not sure.

But, in 1986, It may not have been an equal opportunity to sweep a divison because each conference had only 3 divisions, A west, Central and East,

and in the AFC, there were 5 teams in the west and east, and only 4 teams in the central.

Was the NFC the same way? 5 teams in the west, east, and only 4 in the central.

So, it may have been impossible to sweep a 5 team division because you didn't play them all. I'm not sure.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

It may have been the case at least as the divisions were aligned in the 80's that the only division the Browns would have had an opportunity to sweep would be a rotating 3rd year opportunity vs the NFC central with 4 teams, the Lions, Bears, Vikings, and Packers.

Really unusual, freaky weird, all this talk of us winning, much less sweeping a division, even mores if we are seeing and inkling of sweeping TWO divisions.

That's just crazy talk and, well, I love it! brownie thumbsup

It's was the Buccaneers and the Seahawks. I think it was in 1976
