Round 1 Notes:

National Champion Alabama has 6 (5 Defense, 1 Offense) players go Round 1.

I think a trade down from 4 is a battle between STL, JAX, and MIA, with CLE not wanting to drop too far they take STLs offer (assuming no one blows them away)

Everyone assumes Tannehill at 8 to Miami (If they don't trade up for him) I mocked it, but I just am not 100% sold they go that route, seems like a waste (Can you tell how interested I am at drafting him at 4?)

62. New England - CB, Brandon Boykin, Georgia
63. New York Giants - LB, Mychal Kendricks, California

Round 2 Notes

Brandon Weeden, Yep, That just happened, I'm not happy about it either…

Assuming New England doesn't trade up or away any of its picks, Ryan Mallett is going to have a solid core when he replaces Tom Brady in a few years (Ha.)

I would take that draft.

I think that Richardson is the best player left in the drfat behind Luck and RG3. He does not play a "premium" position, but dropping down to 6 would allow us to stretch slightly.

Hill has speed, size, and beyond that I don;t know. He does look like the kind of WR that the Steelers have made a habit out of turning into superstars ....... so hopefully we will manage to do so. I could see us going with an OL in the bottom of the 1st, but I think that skill positions will win out high in the draft.

I love the Weeden pick. I think that he can unseat McCoy, but we aren't investing a 1st round pick so if he doesn't show something we can still go QB in the 1st next year. I can definitely see us looking at Weeden in the 2nd far more than I see us looking at Tannehill in the 1st. I think that Weeden lets us "get through" for a year, and then we can try fr a franchise guy again next year if we need to.

I like the LB pick. From what I have seen of David, he's a solid OLB, though not much of a pass rusher. I do wonder if Heckert will go LB that high though. I suspect that he looks at OLB as a position that can be filled deep in the draft.

Schwartz would be a solid future pick, but I don't see him stepping in from day 1. It's possible that our day 1 starter at RT might be a guy who is released in the final cutdowns.

I would guess that we will try to move around some in the lower rounds, because we really have too many picks. I bet that Heckert will draft a couple of real longshots late in the draft, hoping to find a diamond.

If Martin falls I would prefer to get him at 22, I just don't see it happening...
