The Cleveland Browns have signed WR Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi. Sheehy-Guiseppi is a rookie out of Phoenix College and measures 5-11, 181 pounds. His collegiate career consisted of a first team NJCAA All-American honor in 2016, leading the nation in kick return yardage (1,278) and kick return touchdowns (four). He also ranked second in the NJCAA in yards per kick return (32.8) and in punt return yards (400). A native of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., the signing marks Sheehy’s first NFL stop.

Fun to watch, like Metcalf fast. Not very big and tall. Struck me that it may take about two jerseys to get his full name out there at his size. Nice find.

Sheehy-Giuseppe, eh? You don't see that many Irish-Italian kick returners. Its about time my people are represented! I told my HS coaches I should be a RB, or at least a FB and they said "You're not fast enough.". I tried to tell them that while I didn't have 40 speed, I had game speed. They laughed and said get back to the OL drills. Damn fools.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
And since kickers can usually pound in 8 yards deep our out the endzone, you don't really need one.
Last season, I noticed that teams would kick off short enough to let us run it out, because they knew we couldn't even take it to the 25. That's how putrid our return team was.
I think it signals that we will use some of the picks and trade up a few times, so in the end we may only draft 5 players and don't want to use any of those picks on accessory type players.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
So this guy declared for the draft out of a JC, didn’t get signed, and now we somehow found him and signed him? Crazy story.
Dorsey out beaten down the weeds ...

There isn't anything not to like about signing a UDFA who excels in an area where your team needs to improve. What I do like about signing DSG is he's not just a returner. He covers kicks too. He displays a knack for navigating through traffic in pursuit of the ballcarrier. When I looked at some of the clips from an earlier post you can see that he has recovery speed and the want to, to chase down the ball from behind if necessary. He brings more than one skill to ST.
He will definitely be a Training Camp Darling....lol Heck I fall for it too. I will be rooting heavily for him as well...LOL
at this point it is super obvious that his way onto the team is through Special Teams. But hey. that is exactly how Cribbs pushed his way into the NFL.(As well as many others)
Good Luck to him
I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...
What's the use of wearing your lucky rocketship underpants if nobody wants to see them????
He definitely fits a position of need for us; we haven't had a reliable punt returner for some time
It might not be this kid, but we need one

Yes, I know Callaway was the PR at times ... but I'm not sure he's totally trustworthy and we might want him to just be a WR

While DSG is fast, he doesn't look anywhere near as elusive as Metcalf. Those cuts were awesome, and he maintained speed. DSG seems to gear down more when he has to juke.
His speed got him a shot from Dorsey. I'll be surprised if he makes the active roster, though. Maybe a practice squad slot. He does remind of Sproles a bit. Wish there was more tape of him on offense.
