"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
I was trying to remember where I was the last time we took home The Barge, and I think it was pretty much the same as where I am now, only I was younger.
Ah yes, last year under Baker and Brogan we took it home

That was a classy little earwig to start today! Thanks. I had never heard that before. There certainly is Class in The Land, I mean that prize shows it all. And it does mean so little and it does mean so much. Like the Rose Bowl of pre-season pointlessness *L*.
Show your ship proudly, saying loudly, "This my barge! There are many like it, but this one is mine!" . . . .
This ought to be the model we adopt for ferries to take Elf Army of fans to the 2019 beachhead on Dawg Island.

When I think of Brady Quinn I think of worm-burners on 3 yard out patterns.
And deep passes that landed 6 yards out of bounds.
Good Gosh....just shut-up man. I am having a good day. I am going to have a tooth extraction in a few hours. That is a good day over remembering Quinns deep ball!
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

That game, and stafford' last second TD pass, was in the regular season. For historical accuracy, and to preserve the GLC's legacy, regular season games are not part of the Battle for the Barge.
It will be kind of a freak show, I bet. I like Blough, but hard to judge him considering the given group he has played with. Kind of a self-fulfilling failure; wish he had a chance with some better folks and protection.
Braxton time? I hope to see how they hope to use him, and your crazy idea might be just the (only) time and place I would like to see it. This game will have all the edge of The Replacements and strike ball, at least the potential is there. I would love to watch some of that and Hammer kicking. But not Corbett snapping the ball for anything.

I agree w/Bard in that Braxton will play most of the game ... I think we’re gonna look at his versatility a bit and hope he can make a few nice plays. It’s his chance here.
In terms of Corbett, if he plays the entire game (as I expect) that is a pretty damning indication.

This quote is from an recent article by Nate Ulrich:
Quote:
Kitchens revealed the Browns will keep a tight end on their 53-man roster who can moonlight as a fullback.
“We’re going to have a tight end who can do that,” Kitchens said. “He’s not the only one who’s done that, too. It’s just when you’re trying to get the other guys work at the tight end spot, somebody has to do the other parts of it.
So whatever TE can prove to be the best 'FB' among the TEs not named Njoku, will have the upper hand in making the roster. Not sure who the front runner is but I'm guessing we may see alot of TE in the fullback position tomorrow night.
I'm still leaning towards Demetrius Harris making this roster, so I think it will come down to DeValve, Brown, and Gathers. Has anyone noticed Brown and Gathers playing FB in the preaseason games or have noticed a TC recap from a beat writer mentioning this?
If I had to speculate today (only because I've seen/read DeValve's name associated with FB in training camp) before the final game I'd suspect the depth would be (1) Njoku, (2) Harris, and (3) DeValve.
