Level 3 snow emergency and 6lbs of chili sitting here. Others were to bring the sides. This sucks! I whipped up some guacomole dip so my wife, son and I are doing this ourselves.

It's 44degrees out here. No guests expected.
A question. Why did you make so much chili? Did you just wake up this morning and find out the weather was bad? wink

I wasn't expecting a level 3 Friday night when I browned the meat, and I took a chance yesterday and cooked it all up. I did put 3lbs in the freezer. It's pretty bad here, I ran the snowblower just before the game and looking out now you can hardly tell. 8-10 inches and a couple more hours of snow to go.

We had nothing planned since daughter was supposed to have school today, wife was supposed to work last night......

Plowed our drive 3 different times yesterday....couldn't do my shop drive even once - drifts were too big for garden tractor.

Plus, being under a level 3 snow emergency would've put a big damper on everything had we made plans.

Sat at home, ate home made subs.

I really never do much, but we had a few invitations for SB parties.. Chicago got dumped with a foot of snow the entire day with a blizzard in the middle of it... We stayed home, happily.

We usually go crazy. I remember writing about all the food we had last year. I don't think everyone believed me..........LOL

Well, this year was way different. We hardly had anything. One dip. One homemade pizza early. And I made lasagna. That's it.

Kinda boring.

We cancelled because we knew our plow service probably wouldn't. We have kind of a long drive way that goes up from our house and when the snow's packed, like it always is because it's plowed at his convenience rather than ours, it get's slippery and a struggle to get out.

My daughter lives 10 minutes away and her drive was plowed 3 times during the day. It was a good decision because our guy finally showed up at 9:30.

Next year we'll have a different plow service. This guy sucks.
