Hi

A few days back, MHD started a thread about Steven Spielberg's daughter working in the sex industry. I responded to the OP, a conversation was beginning and then- *poof!* -disappeared.

To my knowledge, no board rules were broken, no prohibited language was used, and the subject matter in the OP was pretty matter-of-fact, with no hint of smut or inappropriateness.

Why was the thread deleted?

Trying to understand,
clem

The thread became post after post of name calling and personal attacks very quickly, which you probably missed. It really didn’t belong in the forum it was posted in and disintegrated into such a mess that it was just best to remove it entirely.

Anyone can feel free to post about the subject matter again, if they wish.

I just looked up an article about this topic because the two posts in this thread piqued my interest. The story itself is fairly sad and troubling.

I wonder why people would read that story and start calling each other names and attacking one another?

Seems strange because I think the story itself should inspire kindness and understanding.

Thank you for the explanation.

Things must have deteriorated rapidly. I wasn't gone that long!
