I hope we never see him play.

I understand, but you are.

Incredible!

I want to see him run a fake. That rugby stuff could come in handy. thumbsup

It might be interesting to see him do some Hillis-type leaps over the PR team.

On second thought......

On second thought . . . .

Can The Hammer throw the ball? Fake it and run like a rugby fullback with it, or let him toss it to any TE except Njoku, or drop kick it for a score.

A triple threat punter. naughtydevil

There was video of him passing underhand (rugby style) with accuracy and velocity. Just the angle of that underhanded throw is scary.

I remember when throwing underhand forward was called a forward lateral and was illegal. But now you see it all the time.

We taught it as a ball handling technique for sweeps and wide counters. Hard to see it and you can get it outside quickly. It can have a tight spiral and a lot of zip on it. Something a defense has to keep in mind which is good. If! If you hurt them with it. Liked to see what getting outside was if you can get it down. I still think we are not using all The Hammer that we can.

When you taught it, was it coming from the QB or from a punter?
Posted By: Bard Dawg Re: The hammer - 07/29/20 01:19 PM
QB for set offensive plays in a series. Punter used it to lateral behind the line or regular pass on fake. Both positions practiced it.

Hopefully he’s the last (he won’t be haha) that has to be in this spot this year

My heart just broke a little. Hope the dam holds. Get well soon, Hammer. fingerscrossed

Being put on this roster DOESN'T necessarily mean he has the virus. He may just have been exposed to someone who has it. In either case, a player must be quarantined.

The team is not supposed to reveal a player's medical status.

True, but at this point, how do you know who has been exposed? Most of us have probably been exopods over the last 3-4 months.....just saying

It's literally what every other country has been doing this whole time.

Time to bring in a couple of punters.
Posted By: Damanshot Re: The hammer - 07/31/20 01:25 PM
Is he out for the season?
Posted By: FloridaFan Re: The hammer - 07/31/20 01:40 PM
Seems if he tested positive, after testing positive for Antibodies, and recently having the virus, they would take a couple more tests to confirm.

Based on the current information, sounds like it may have been a false positive.

I don't think that. I hope not anyway! I am just saying we will need a few punters around until he comes back.
