CLWB419 Mock - 04/25/13 01:16 AM
I typically do a couple full 7 round mocks between early March and the draft and post parts of them. I didn't get the time this year to do that, but have been playing around off and on with one during that time. I finalized my one and only mock this year - I did a full down to our pick in the 3rd round (68), then best guess beyond that for the Browns. Here's round 1, then the overall Browns picks, then a few comments.
A couple first round trades. I expect more Thursday though...
+Miami Trades #12, #54 to Cleveland for #6 (I don't see us staying at 6 if one of the tackles is left - we could get more, but I only see Arizona and Miami being the two teams in contention for the pick, as New Orleans doesn't have the 2nd rounder it'd cost to move up)
+Buffalo trades #41, #105, 2014 3rd rounder to Minnesota for #25.

Notes:
I have no idea if Joeckel or Fisher goes at #1...but if KC stays at #1, one will...
I've been reading more and more about Jacksonville being in love with one of the OT. I think it is 60/40 Dion Jordan at this point, but went with the articles...
Geno Smith to Philly at #33 (trade up to 33 from 35)
Matt Barkley goes in the 3rd round to Jacksonville.
I'm guessing there are a couple other surprises on there. I start with needs, then look at BPA, which is probably opposite of what should be done. Though I have a decent track record in the first round. All in all, who cares, it is fun regardless.
Warmack was the top player available on my board when we picked at 12, and at a position of need. Was a pretty easy selection over Rhodes and Vaccaro.
I have seen Poyer all over the board as far as where he'll be drafted. I think he will go earlier than most sites believe.
I was surprised that Amerson was still available in this mock, and couldn't pass him up. While neither he nor Poyer are true FS, I think both have the ability to play the position. This gives us more flexibility.
The rest of the picks were who I thought was a good fit at position at the place we were drafting, based on a combination of CBS, NFL Draft Countdown, and Drafttek's rankings.
