I know we all like YouTube for cat videos, watching people fall down stairs, and listening to our favorite political person tell us our political views are right while everyone else is wrong.

But, I like to think YouTube has an even better purpose. What's that purpose? To find great musical performances by amateur musicians. I'll post three of my favorites.

-Yeah, I despise this song as much as anyone else. You can't deny the song is catchy. I like this just for the fact all the guys make this grand piano into five million different instruments.

-I'm a sucker for 80s synth pop. This kid covers many more 80s tunes on his keyboard. This just happens to be my favorite 80s synth song. Take On Me by Aha! comes in at a close second.

-Not sure how many of you here listen to Blink-182. This guy took a recent Blink-182 single and made it sound like it was from the 90s. A lot of talent on display in this video from just a single guy.

Great thread!

Ann Marie Calhoun. Played this cover of a Widespread Panic song for YouTube...

And it landed her on stage with the band!...

The look on her face from stage is priceless. A dream come true.

A breakdown video of how this young living room fiddle player landed on a stage in front of tens of thousands of fans.

This guy is just a freak...
