So, I'm pretty sure I have covid (the loss of smell clued me in) despite 2 negative covid tests. As well as the illness more severe than a common cold.
Those 2 tests came from "free covid test" govt website. They say they are not expired despite having a past expiration date.
If you are sick, I would not rely on those. Buy a commercial test instead.
Dont be a superspreader. Dont be me.
Those things had a very short expiration date. I'm guessing because it was on the govt's dime and the manufacturers figured the faster they expired the sooner people would need more.
Hope you feel better soon and the effects aren't too severe.
Hope you feel better soon Eve.
Thanks, I've had it for a week. I'm mostly over it. Just some residual congestion and no smell. This is the 3rd time I've had it. The congestion/coughing was way worse this time than the first 2 times. It really sunk its claws into my lungs.
My taste and smell was gone for two weeks the first time. I was starting to worry and found a FB group. Some people have never had it fully return. Or cases where their brain rewires and things happen like coffee smelling like cat pee. Freaky.
Yeah, I dont like the loss of smell. I always lose smell and always on the tail end of the covid. It made me mad because I just got a new washing machine this week and did a bunch of laundry. And I cant smell the fresh clean laundry smell. I'm wasting scent beads lol.
The government spending tons of money on things that don't work? I'm shocked! /purple
