They did it all the time during the Pats game. they only do it on that channel. Its like a guitar chord, for effect very annoying. didnt anyone notice?
ok went to the tape. If you forward to the first punt right after the punt it starts. and I believe as the game goes on its gets more frequent and loader.
You can hear it when Jones tosses the ball to the official.
Wow I cant belive the nfl would allow that to happen. Let the local channel put a sound track over the game. Major anoying and it got more and more frequent.
It was definitely a low guitar chord sound. Dubbed over top the broadcast. over and over and over. Probably for dramatic affect. Toward the end of the game it competed with the announcers.
They did the same thing on that station for the wild card game. The other games didnt have it
1) What chord was it? The more specific you can be, the better we can help you.
2) Was there any distortion to the chord? In other words, was it a classic rock type chord, maybe more of a grunge? Would you say a band like "Boston" would play that chord more than a band like, say, "Pantera"? Or would it be more "Radiohead" as compared to "Bee Gees"?
3) What type of guitar was it? Fender? Les Paul? Acoustic?
4) Was the chord louder or softer than the sound of a hummingbird (with said hummingbird's wing-beats magnified at 250x)?
Thanks. This should help get us on the right track.

Didn't pick it up myself. Not a hearing aid malfunction, I hope. Father-in-law's whistles at times, agree it is very annoying. Have no idea if it does chords, but I will inquire.
