He's having another weird injury situation. He hasn't practiced in awhile and the team is being very vague about what type of injury he is dealing with. If he can't play the Colts are all the way screwed.

Maybe our 1st team D picks off Brissett once or twice?

Yeah, they are always so secretive and/or foggy with his injury status. It seems like this recent one has evolved or changed a few times

Been trying to figure out what he "has" as an injury. Heard it was calf cramp, then an existing injury that he was still treating, then high ankle sprain, but no idea as to severity and when he might be playable full-tilt again.

Anything definitive and official we might put some time frame to?

A lot of conversation has been coming around to it being a bone issue, Irsay even said as much. It's been bothering him in earnest since March. There are also reports that he has been experiencing the same pain, to a lesser dgree, for a "couple years".

Quote:
They thought at first that the injury might have something to do with the os trigonum, a small, back-of-the-ankle bone that most humans don't even have. While Luck indeed has the rare and useless bone, a recent test has led them to believe it is not the source of Luck's issues.

Instead, they believe Luck is dealing with an issue at the front of his ankle, high in the joint, that has been causing pain in his calf and lower leg, above the Achilles tendon.

A lot of reason for the unclear diagnosis and time table is due to the fact that he complained about his calf, diagnosis showed the calf was strained, the bone issue and ankle were "overlooked" at the time of the diagnosis.

A lot of talk going around now is that a Week 1 start is a crap shoot and Week 3 is more realistic.

He's the best quarterback that pretty much never was.
His career is one long stretch of being on the sidelines.

Yeah, and some (or a lot) of that is the Colt’s own fault ... he took a beating behind a terrible OL for many games

Thank you, FATE. That was a good article. It gave me a clearer understanding about what it is or seems to be. Time frame is still murkish. But I hope he gets well later or whenever. Seems like a lot of time surfing the pine for a starting QB. Cross ref. {up's note above. *L*

Go, Browns!

J/c

If I were a Colts fan I’d be worried .. things don’t add up timeframe wise and injury wise. It seems like the story changes each week
