Never thought that 1st game, 1st half adjustments could be the defining moment of this season but it could be.

It seems like things could turn to negative very quickly ... expectations are a fickle thing

The coaching staff and players are suffocating under the expectations.

Freddie spent a whole off season being witty in front of the camera and letting players be themselves.

So far this is the product.

i want to hammer this point:

the score would be way worse if mariota could hit open receivers. because his receivers are running wide freaking open.

Well we will see what kind of coach Freddie is. He may surprise and look the complete opposite of what he is

a mile of space, got 11 yards, it was only just past the line of scrimmage after everyone else ran deep routes to set up the open space.

So the Browns punted back to them, The bad guys got tackled by shoelaces to set up 3rd and 2,

then a quick out is blown up, to set up 4th and 4 deep in bad guys own territory.

How many penalties on the O Line? Or blocking penalties on the TEs? I haven't kept an exact talley, but there have been a lot of them. Baker has been completing more because we started getting the ball out faster and taking small gains, but whenenever we try to make a downfield play develop, there is a hold. So we cannot complete a pass over 20 yards.

I cannot blame the QB. Being down and not getting time to throw means the QB has to take risks and force throws. Its either that, or just lay down and die. The game is being lost at the LOS. You can have all the talent you want at the skill positions, but when the LOS is this one sided, it won't matter.

182 yards in Penalties... shaky oline.. got behind and started throwing all day. Rookie coaches who let the game get away from them. This will be a learning for the entire team.

Now they gotta regroup and get ready for next week. But dont worry, your Cleveland Media will not ask the tough questions.

that player stepped out on that last Touchdown they should have had first and goal inside the 5 or around the 5 not a TD

Play calling wasn't that bad. Having a backup tackles starting, being down, and an extreme number of penalties can limit your options. In spite of all this, game was still winnable in the third quarter before all of the interceptions, but our young QB became impatient and started forcing everything.

All aspects unprepared and unable to adjust. Coaching was horrid. Fred looked baffled as to how to gain control. Back to work boys.

Horrible play calling on that series.
Refs kept the game out of reach... and the team kept taking more rope.
