We need Buffalo to beat Pittsburgh and Tennessee to beat Houston
It also wouldn’t hurt if Oakland lost
(Oh, and if we won)
I don't think we win this week.
I think Murray is going to be too much.

That would be a topic for this week game, not "Other Games"
Can you copy and paste it there when it gets going?
Can you copy and paste it there when it gets going?
Im not a ref, so no.
I was just pointing out the thread you were in.
Even though I believe we are capable of losing to the Cardinals.
The game feels like a nothing game. Win and it is expected. Lose and you stink for losing to a team with a bad record.
Plus I will be unable to watch the game. I will be driving from Reno to Atlanta. Moving back after five years.
The Ravens. If we beat the Cards it all comes down to the Ravens. Beat them and then Bengals and we have a winning season. In addition we would have gone 5-1 in the division.
Not what I had hoped but in light of all that has gone down.
I would be happy with 9-7.
Been a long time since we had a winning season.
Why would I do that? Its your post.
I don't think we win this week.
I think Murray is going to be too much.
I watched the Steeler cards game, and believe me Arizona is not good. Their defense can't stop the run, and the offense is mediocre at best.

we lost to denver and the 28th ranked steelers offense.

I saw them against the 49ers and it went to the wire

They are up and down. They cant stop the run, so we wont run the ball. Watch last week for example.
Right now I have zero confidence we can beat anyone. The Cinny game shouldn't have been that close. It's like the team isn't trying to do their best or doesn't care.
I agree .. the fact that the cincy game was close and we had little-to-no-desire is alarming
What is best scenario for the Browns if the Browns were to win out and I know that is a very big "if".
If the Steelers beat the Bills both teams would be 9-5 with 2 games remaining. If the Bills beat the Steelers the Bills would be 10-5 but Pitt would be 8-6.
Also, the Browns would just need the Texans and Saints to beat up on the Titans which could easily happen. The Texans could sweep the Titans and the Saints are better than Tennessee.
The Bills then finish at New England Patriots then home to the New York Jets.
The Steelers then finish at New York Jets and at Baltimore Ravens.
If the Bills lose to the Steelers they almost certainly will lose to the Pats. Leaving them in a must win game vs the New York Jets.
If the Steelers lose they will be only 1 game up on the Browns with 2 to play. Can we count on the Steelers to implode?
Which scenario do you think is more likely to give the Browns a shot?

im pretty sure none of these scenarios are going to happen, and most likely if they do - the browns will drop a game either way and it wont matter.
In fact, I think the least likely scenario to happen will, in which all the teams we need to lose, will lose, but we will lose to the Cardinals this week and blow our only chance.

This is interesting. 3 brothers will be on the field when the Bills play the steelers?
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/edmun...ers-bills-game/
I appreciate the effort and desire to see this scenario.
Browns needed that PIT game. It was the only move that allowed them to write their own ticket. They could have even be afforded a loss later, and STILL have a shot.
My best predix: Browns have a shot at winning every game BUT BAL. I think BAL is a real TEAM... and as such, is too much for this group of talented individuals to overcome. Browns have no shot if they don't win out. BAL will be their downfall.
Browns will finish 8-8.
One game out of playoff consideration.
Browns are not winning this week.
Book it.
7-9 is your ceiling if they beat Cincy.
But I think we are looking at 6-10.
Hopefully that will bring a coaching change.
So, anyone rooting for the Jets tonight?
Our playoff scenario is moot. The way we've played we don't deserve to make the playoffs. We had our chances and blew it. We had our chance in the 2nd Pittsburgh game and played like it didn't matter. Frustrating!!
Man I hate Jackson. Someone fold that guy backwards. All things raven are filth.
Three more quarters like that and the rats are going to beat the mets 52 to nothing.
Lamar and the offense is a machine right now
Man, I wish we had great Tight Ends.

I agree with this.
If we somehow pull out a miracle I won't complain.
Baltimore definitely deserves this.
I think it's been like 5 years since they won it all.
I wish Baker would have multiple 5 TD games
That seems to fly in the face of just having a competitive spirit.
"Thanks for kicking my butt, may I have another. You're so wonderful."
I didn't watch the game but I thought Lamar was injured going in... surprised the jets couldn't cover the spread. smh

These guys are members of a fraternity. They are friends who compete on the job. They don't see it as we do. Many developed relationships as competitors/team mates/friends in college.
Also, the NFL isn't the same as it was in the 60's/70's, when a player might spend his entire career on the same team. With FA, there's every chance that they might end up on the same team down the road.
I may not have played a snap in the NFL, but I kinda get it.
I don't think it's all that hard to get. NHL hockey players do a handshake line after each playoff series. It takes a LOT to not shake someone's hand... and that's after a playoff series (playoff hockey is INTENSE).
Even in beer league, where we take it waaay too seriously, we shake hands after each game.... except for THAT guy (there's one or two in every league).
Point is, it's not that crazy for a show of respect or even admiration after you've been battling.
Do it in the runway to the locker rooms, if you must. Maybe I'm old school, but it annoys the bleep out of me to watch my team yukking it up with oppo players after getting their ass handed to them. It makes me think I care more than they do.
I get that you think the optics are less than ideal, but trust me:
you don't care more than they do.
How do I know that? Easy:
It's not your paycheck/livelihood on the line. These guys want to produce and win. More wins = more money.
... you don't care more than they do.
Then act like it. At least have the sensibility to hold your little love fest out of the public eye. It doesn't take much more than a room temp IQ to understand how things
look. In fact, I'm sure they DO know how it looks. They're just more concerned with how fellow players view them, as opposed to the uncool, numbnut fans who invest their Sundays with them every week.

I take it you haven't seen his bookie's new house.

That's probably true.
I guess it doesn't bother me in the same way it bothers you.
All's cool.
You ain't wrong to feel as you do.
There are a million different ways to be a fan.
I’m sure a lot of GMs wish they could swap QBs with Baltimore, not just the QB’s jersey haha.
Baltimore is supremely impressive with how they’ve altered everything and adapted so quickly
Clem, that would mean someone has the ability to understand the game only exists for four quarters and feels you must carry a chip on your shoulder against every player on every team you play against all of your life. A hard concept for some to grasp.
Snowing pretty dang hard in KC
The pregame snowball fight is hilarious.
Cincy is kicking NE’s butt up front
Bears got screwed.
That was a clean hit on the punt returner. No fair catch, had time to catch it...he just got smoked and fumbled. Refs say defender was too close, get moved from the 50 to the Bears 35 and then get a TD.
BS. Refs failed.
Titans and Texans game has been good thus far
Just turned on the Bears/Packers game. So far? Pretty good game.
Need the Titans to pull this one out
Titans and Texans game has been good thus far
That's an understatement I'm chosing to listen to it and NOT WATCH FOOTBALL,
because the idiots of planning are giving us bears Packers, .. which nobody cares about on Fox,
or No football, on CBS
As I said in the other thread, this is why the NFL is
fading away of relevance.

We are watching Bears Packers cause she is a Bears fan... so some of us care.
Mind you I have the ticket and have to watch it there cause locally it is Redskins.
Stuck watching DET/TB. 3 thoughts:
1. Lions fans know our pain.
2. Bad football isn't necessarily better than no football.
3. Gawd, I wanna punch Mark Schlereth in the throat. As hard as I can. He's awful.
Listening to this Texans Titans game, man it's invigorating!
Good Matchup, play each one is rivoting, Bam, it's got major significance to all the AFC wild card wannabe teams.
oh well, Go back to the t.v., oh, there it is, Packers Bears,
I don't care what the Packers or Bears records are,
don't care if the game were tied, going into overtime, or if the Packers were up by 40, or if the Bears were up by 40,
none of those would make me want to watch that stuff,
Texans and Titans,
I've got Deshaun Watson, Dion Lewis, and Derrick Henry, on one side, all guys I had hoped would have been Browns or liked when they were at one time,
on the other side, Tannehill, Duke Johnson, Carlos Hyde,
Not only compelling, coaching matchups, compelling Quarterback battle, compelling playoff matchup, implications
The NFL is Jipping us of watching AFC South divisional games late in the year,
LAST YEAR, they were some of the best games in the final weeks stretch, and This Year same thing.
packers and Bears might as well be Nothing. Everyone Knows they won't be able to do squat against the Saints, or Rams last year, 49ers this year or whomever, it's not like anyone should think they'll get a shot to the SB anyway,
and besides, anyone in the NFC or NFL for that matter has to overcome the league bias to put the Seahawks somewhere they don't belong through penalties and beneficial calls by the refs.
The joke that is pro football.
They used to celebrate Chuck Bednariks hit on Frank Gifford. I have it in the old NFL books of my childhood. Chuck would be ran out of town today. How do you judge "too hard" in a game of big, strong athletes?
That Carrie Underwood is attractive.
That Carrie Underwood is attractive.
oh i know it
Bills just ran a great draw play against Pittsburgh like we should have
Completely whipped on allen in the draft discussions. Dude plays like Cam newton. Love it!
Yeah, at this point it looks like Allen and Lamar are better than Baker ... who knows how much of it is cuz of coaching
Phantom facemask call against the Bills, to move the Steelers to the 10 and a 1st down.
It wasn't even close. The Bills defender never came within a foot of the Stoolers's facemask.

I saw Allen play live against Reno and was infatuated with him. Then he had a down year the following year and I kind of cooled on him.
I'm not sure if he's better than Baker and if so, by how much, but one thing I absolutely love about his game is that he is not rattled in the pocket. He is by far the most poised QB of last year's draft. Surprisingly, Jackson would be next on that list, but he just doesn't pass all that much.
The other thing is his teammates seem to absolutely love the guy.

It must be getting close to time to decide the game.
Bills win and clinch a playoff spot.
Good for them and Bills Mafia.
So glad Steelers lost. Man that bills defense.

I know a few Bills fans. I am sure they are ecstatic right now.

Deservedly so!
I forget that feeling.
Remember when we picked Jackson over McDermott
Let’s all root for Buffalo

One thing about it, come playoff time we could do that without having a conflict of interest.
Remember when we picked Jackson over McDermott
Remember when we had Kyle Shanahan, but forced him into quitting because the Front Office wanted to dictate who should start?

Do we have to remember?...
Remember when we had Bill Belichek?
I guess the clock has struck midnight for the Steelers. Even if they somehow hold on to the 6 seed, it would not be a pretty playoff game. Mike Tomlin still deserves coach of the year
Saints QB Drew Brees: 28-of-29, 309 yards, 4 TDs.
Watching that NO/Indy game was impressive. As I watched it, there were no players on O lining up wrong. We run 10 plays, maybe 8 times Baker is moving players into the right position, that is so frustrating to watch.
Yup, every single time I watch another team's games (especially if they're established) it doesn't even look like we're playing in the same league coaching wise. The crispness of their offense, their routes, plays, its on another level from what we have..
Agreed. Teams like NO, NE, PIT, KC, etc .. they have coaching, culture and get BETTER. We look like absolute dog crap

SF was crap last year. Bills were not that good either.
