Depends on how certain people play.

If Baker throws 5 TDs and we lose a shootout because the defense can't get off the field, your narrative is more focused toward Stefanski and the team in general.

If we lose, Baker plays bad, and Baker gets outplayed by Burrow, then I won't know what the narrative is because I won't be watching any sports shows.

I think he is more of a Tommy Boy.

The Bengals were out West, They should be tired from a tough game and jet leg. If I'm the HC I use two of the best backs in the league and run the ball, Run the ball and wear down the Bengals D, Take the pressure off Baker and just smash mouth the Bengals.

But I have this feeling,the HC wants to prove people wrong thinking Baker and OBJ don't work, so the game will be put in Bakers arm to throw to OBJ and it fails as always.

The Browns could be 0-2 in less then a week.

Cincy played at home.

I'm a little worried about AJ Green. He looked pretty healthy against the Chargers.

For me, the narrative is this is still the preseason. New coach new staff new systems with no OTA's a shortened camp and no preseason games. The first half of the season is just practice. I will start looking for them to play good football in the second half of the season.

I wouldn't necessarily cut Vernon but I would sign Matthews as an edge rusher.

There are times you can see him totally dominate the OL he's facing - but whether it's coz he is double teamed or always chipped, he's struggling to get clean shots at Burrows. I will say for the most part Cinci is calling plays for Burrows to get rid of the ball quick.

Yes, we should be, but this is the Browns. Baker Suckfield's last pass was a really bad pass. The Browns defense sucks, they've allowed Cincy to move the ball quite easily, so much so, that Cincy could easily be winning this game. I'm not sayng the D hasn't made a few good plays, sure they have, but not consistently enough. The D needs to be a HUGE focus next off season.

Right now, I'd trade Baker, Njoku, and 2 firstr rounders for Burrows, he's got more potential than Baker.

This defense is going to get destroyed by decent teams. I could see us setting records of futility. We will struggle to hold teams under 35 points.

Some people dont realize that the other teams get paid as well, and the offense has the benefit of knowing the play call and where they are going.

Ward is a good CB with upside to be a GREAT CB.

This defense is really hot garbage, mostly the LB's and secondary. The D needs to be a heavy focus next draft and FA period. Special Teams hasn't been looking too good either, too many big returns on Kick Offs for our opponents.

A division win is always great but I still expect this team to be picking top 10 in the next draft, I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.

This was the 2nd preseason game. The defense is a disaster. But the offense has something to build on. If china doll Greedy can ever come back and Mack is cleared, we will be better. Maybe Ronnie Harrison can get up to speed. Sendejo is friggin awful.

I can enjoy a victory, as I said, always a great thing to beat a divisional opponent, but let's not pretend this Browns team is any kind of contender at all. Mediocrity does not impress me. They could have just as easily lost this game when in reality tehy shold have won by 3 TD's.

I know the D has injuires but that is an area of serious need, especially LB and Secondary. Also, I'm still not completely sold on Baker, he's so very capable of tossing INT's at the wrong time, just like so many Browns QB's before him. Glad the Browns won, but this was not a Super Bowl victory. It was a close W that could have been an L.

He was able to kick it out of the endzone a couple times. I wonder if it was a strategic thing to kick it short that just backfired.

I'm just saying that this is a different year. The glaring issue is defense, an area that we've had an unusual amount of injuries to specific units on our defense. We have a long turn-around for wash. Why don't we relax until then.

Duly noted, but your post was, what 4 minutes after the game ended? That was the thing red dog was responding to. Do they need to upgrade some positions? Yeah. Can it be done now? Doubtful. The team will address what they can, and will make the serious upgrades after the season.
