Good news that Obi is out there at all? Definitely good news about Clayborn.
They just need to shorten it up and tell us who is healthy.
and, that list is terrible. So many guys we are counting on and NEED are getting really banged up.
Larry and Richardson are the two key dudes we need
Whoa, whoa , WHOA!
Where is Vernon's name??

This seems like it might be the Bellichek/Parcells strategy where you list every little thing trying to obscure the important ones to the other team.

Wait a minute....

Yeah if Richardson doesnt play we are in trouble. This game will be hard enough to win as it is.
There is only one guy who matters for us on defense.

yeah but when they block him with 4 players someone has to run in and make the tackle.
j/c:
I know we have some injuries, but we have been very fortunate compared to a lot of teams.
A lot of these guys are on here for precautionary reasons. Hunt said he was fine in his presser.
We definitely need the guys on the Dline back. Hopefully we get Ogunjobi or Richardson back.
There is only one guy who matters for us on defense.
I disagree. He cant do it all

Our defense stinks. So far he has six pressures that have caused turnovers. He’s our whole defense at this point.

We need our interior linemen to shut down the run and make them one dimensional so he can get those sacks
Richardson is a 'glue' guy. Dude subtly shows up each game.

I was looking at the Colts Message Board

LB Bobby Okereke could also sit out Sunday's game, talk about taking a hit to your LB'S
Those are massive injuries. Also, their other starting LB had thumb surgery on Monday and may be out as well.
Darius Leonard is among the best linebackers in the league. If he misses the game that is huge.
Leonard said today he hopes to play despite not practicing all week. We’ll see if they alllow him to try.
Sounds like Costanzo will be the guy who’s out. That’s still big
Watch the Bengals beat the Ravens
I hope so.. I took them in my Pick 'Em league at +27
That is great news on Sheldon! We need Ogun to to be able to go, too. Hopefully it is something he can work/play through. If not, shut him down and maybe rest him until after the Bye and have him ready for the second half of the season.
Joesph added with a hammy.
Darious Leonard seemed apprehensive in his presser today. If he goes Sunday I think he will be limited.

For those that actually watch the game and pay attention Richardson is one of our best players period.
In fact for me he is the best FA signing we have had in some time. Great player great motor all over the field making plays.

Been saying similar since we got him last season.
Big time FA Signing and he was always looking for a home but only signing one year contracts...I think he signed a 3 year with us. Hope he has found his home to roost.!
He is signed through next season. Next year he has a cap of $13.17 million and a dead cap of $1.7.
We'll see how he is valued when this season is over.
Probably depends on how we view Elliot and if we re-sign Larry O
What kind of shoulder injury takes this long, but doesn't require surgery? Especially for a CB??
The injury happened, when... during camp, right? Like two weeks before Week 1? Something isn't adding up here, at all.
Send him to a different doc, get it fixed, IR him.
DLine is getting THIN. Our depth is really getting tested early all over the defense.
Yep, two huge losses for them.

I agree. That is what I was getting at somewhere else on the board.
Not sure what is going on there?
He has been out a long time. Has practiced LP.
Seems odd that it is taking so long. They didn't IR him.
Myles should feast tomorrow.
Myles should feast tomorrow.
The big problem is that Rivers gets rid of the ball very quickly. We will really need for our backers and safeties to step up.

I really don't like saying this, bit im starting to feel like he is doing it on purpose. Perhaps covid is making him gun shy to play against players on different teams

exactly. When we played the Chargers ... I remember thinking two things about Rivers: he takes the entire play clock to examine the D and he gets rid of it lighting fast
I wasn't sure if you guys were right about the time to throw thing. According to NFL NextGen Stats, Rivers is holding the ball for 2.45 seconds which is 4th best in the league.
For comparison sake, Baker is last of all qbs who are ranked. He is holding it for 3.22 seconds.
What happened to Cincy Baker?
Week 2 he came out firing, decisive, accurate. It's the only game he's looked like that.
I think he has some quick throws in all the games. I think when the first read isn't open, he is slow at going through his progressions. I've been saying that for a long time. There is some evidence to support that observation.
One thing to consider, Indy's DEs can get after the passer. Pittsburgh can bring a lot of pressure off the edge. We're going to have to get rid of the ball quicker in the next two games.

I think you have to trust the medical staff here. I'd rather have him come back fully healed than have a reoccurring or re-aggravating injury because we rushed him back a few weeks early. He's a long term investment, and we want him here for a long time. It may be 2-3 years before we see him at full potential anyway, so we might as well take good care of him now. JMHO
JC...
Any news if Karl Joseph is playing? Looking like it may be a game time decision, as I haven't seen any updates since friday.

i thought I read he wasn’t playing, but I haven’t seen anything today
seems like we are missing a lot of players for a big game.
our offense will have to carry us.

Yeah I read something where Harrison will start if Joseph is out, and I know Joseph was DNP on Friday...then I heard nothing else since lol

They are going to work him out in pregame warmups to see if he can go.
I seriously question Greedy's injury. What was it? He seems to practice, then come game day he is out. IMO, this guy is a bust. I have no confidence he will ever be able to play a full year, much less be good.
Our injury report next week will be lengthy

i have a feeilng baker will be on it.
Teller has to have a mri. He looked fine standing on the sideline. However from what i understand, if you tear your Achilles tendon, which joins the calf muscle to the heel of your foot, you may feel some discomfort but not necessarily any kind of excruciating pain. He looked frustrated on the sideline. I hope its not worst case scenario. Eliot, the rookie defensive tackle hurt his ankle and jordan Phillips, who just returned from injury appears to have injured his knee AGAIN. He also will have a mri.
When did Tretter get dinged? Do we know what the deal is?
Greedy is part-time. IR might have helped us more if we got him listed earlier. He can help us if he gets healthy. Puzzling his injury is.

it was pretty early on in the game

Six weeks too late. This must be one helluva shoulder injury.

I saw Teller, didn't see Tretter. Someone mentioned Conklin stepped in for him and I even missed that (somehow).
Good. Now, let's bring in someone that can actually help us.
Did Greedy get put on short term IR or season ending IR?
Pretty sure they can bring him back in 3 weeks.

I read that too here...however I didn't see it...Odd if true, why Conklin would slide there instead of Nick Harris...to my eyes, I never saw Conklin anywhere but RT.
Pretty sure they can bring him back in 3 weeks.
Thanks Vers!
From what I've seen the injury to Greedy is a nerve damage issue. Those can be a very confusing injury. Sometime nerve damage can repair itself quickly. Sometimes it can be a nagging, ongoing issue. This one has certainly played out to be the latter of the two.

How many people still want to trade Money Mitch?
Please remember this -------
YOU CANNOT HAVE TOO MANY GOOD PLAYERS.
(And yes, I understand money implications/salary cap, etc.)
I didn’t want to trade Mitchell, I just thought we would. Luckily our new front office didn’t jettison players for no reason other than they weren’t “their” guys.
Thankfully, we don't seem to see that from this FO. They genuinely don't seem to care at all whose guy a player is; if they're here, they're OUR guy and that's that. They're either good enough to be here or they aren't; and that's how it should be.

I have had several nerve issues over the years. I had a problem with my right shoulder back around 2000 or so. Doctors put me through physical therapy, and it about killed me. It literally felt like someone dipped a hot knife in vinegar and salt, and ripped open my right shoulder blade. Finally I went to an orthopedic surgeon, who took one look at my x-rays and MRI, and saw the problem right away. He went in and cleaned out the shoulder joint, re-routed the nerve, and I was good from the moment I came out of the anesthesia. It often just takes the right doctor/surgeon to see what is actually happening, instead of just chasing symptoms.
Yeah, it's an odd thing with nerve issues. They have said this one won't require surgery. Some pass quick and some linger. This one has lingered.
And I can tell you that a nerve issue can start to feel somewhat better, only to reverse course in a hard 180. With a shoulder nerve issue, your arm is undependable to useless.
Least Rotoworld is reporting Wyatt teller is week to week with his calf injury....sigh of relief
If Greedy is on IR, does that mean they have a roster spot, that they didn't have yesterday, to bring in another DB?

Cal misspoke and mentioned Conklin instead of Hubbard. Hope that clears it up.
You're right, Pdawg, thanks for clearing that up.
If Greedy is on IR, does that mean they have a roster spot, that they didn't have yesterday, to bring in another DB?
That is correct. We have an open roster spot, now.
There are a number of teams out there that are going absolutely nowhere this year. We should be looking to poach some talent. We could use a DT, S, CB, LB.

When I learned about the lack of turnover, it was my first indicator that this new bunch might be different than previous bunches. I took it was a positive sign, but I wasn't ready to allow myself to get optimistic. Now it seems that they really are as you described them... and that does indeed make me optimistic.
Still keeping fingers crossed.

I still suffer from BBFD (battered browns fan disease)
Against dallas, at half time, I almost texted my pastor, a big cowboys fan. But I didn't, because in the back of my head was "how are we gonna Browns this game??
Against the colts, a fellow Browns fan texted me after the pick 6, saying "That was awesome!" I texted back, yes, it was.............only to see the kickoff return for a touchdown. And then the ensuing pick.
I texted him back "this stinks"
Friend texted back "I know. I promise to never text you during a Browns game again."

1. Teller's injury is to the calf. Hopefully not a bad tear but I do see him as the Starting RG in our Game day depth chart for the Steelers game.
2. Hubbard came in at RG - Conklin remained at his RT position. Hubbard is becoming a pretty good 6th man for our OL stepping up.
