It should be interesting Sunday, with Justin Rose and Gary Woodland within a stroke of each other and playing in the final group, then you have Koepka and McIlroy in the hunt.

Btw, I would love to play at Pebble Beach, what a beautiful course.

Except arguably Woodland. He'll move up quite a few notches on the world rankings if he has a good day today.

I don't have a dog in this hunt, I just want to see a suspenseful finish.

Pebble Beach, is the Mecca of golf courses for most serious golf fans.

Oh dear God. I was at the sports bar today and this game was on.

There was some woman who ran her mouth loudly non stop about this crap. I dont even know how she breathed. Like Non Stop, squealing about this stupid game for more than an hour.

And I dont mean random cheering, I mean non stop blabbering loudly on and on and on and on.

Its GOLF. Not football. Golf people should talk quietly.

She cleared out the entire bar because nobody wanted to listen to her.

And for the first time, in my entire life, I left before my drink was finished.

Because I could not handle one more second of that.

Why cant people act normal? Is it so much to ask?

/rant sorry for interruption

Coming up next (this weekend) - The Travelers Championship

One of Connecticut’s premier sporting events.

A few facts and notes from Wikipedia:

Quote:
In 2018 the Travelers Championship earned the Players Choice Award for the second consecutive year, which is voted on by PGA Tour members for its services, hospitality, attendance and quality of the course.

Quote:
It is the second-most-attended PGA Tour event annually

The good old days:

Won twice by Arnie (‘56 & ‘60)

When I first moved to Connecticut in 1981 it was still The Sammy Davis Jr. Greater Hartford Open

Really the heyday of Hartford. What a great time.

A strong field expected this year.

Don't blame golf because this one woman is annoying.

Good for Woodland, I don't know much about the guy other than he is pretty much the definition of a journeyman.. and is almost universally liked by the other guys on tour... it's good to see a guy who has put in the work all these years finally get a big one.

When Sammy came to Hartford every summer (The GHO used to always be July 4th weekend), he always brought some of his Vegas friends.

Chez Reavie has a six stroke lead going into round 4 at the Travelers Championship this afternoon.

He's moving up that world golfer rankings.

Hey, no blimp this year? (in past years, I could watch the blimp from my 5th floor apartment deck.)

See it? (with my 35 mm Walmart disposable)

(it's a lot bigger in real life)
