I was wondering if I am the only one having trouble with these ads. When I click on a thread it immediately goes to the video ad and plays it...Over and over and over. I can't pause it or drop the audio. It also returns to the add location when I try and scroll back to the last post.

You jinxed me, I'm starting to get it.
Posted By: fishtheice Re: Arby's video ads - 02/03/17 12:38 AM
I've had the same annoying problem.
Posted By: Vambo Re: Arby's video ads - 02/03/17 12:47 AM
I've noticed that the refresh seems to be stuck and I got it to stop by clicking the X on the refresh tab. But it still comes back after time.

I have had that happen several times. Annoying.

I typically log out, sign in under a different search engine, and then go back to my normal search engine later.

Nothing else that I have tried works, other than restarting.

Y'all have been Googling 'roast beef' way too much, I think

I haven't seen these ads, yet, but I'll keep an eye out for them. Perhaps they finally realized it and pulled the ads??

LOL........

It hasn't happened to me in the last few days, so hopefully, you are right!

Couldn't just opening this tread trigger the ad engine?

You are all doomed. Doomed I say!

How, let me talk about dancing, singles, girls, girls, girls, and going to a club .... or "B.o.l.o.g.n.a", and let's see what you get. rofl

Haven't had a problem in days. Maybe the problem got fixed?
Posted By: Dawgs4Life Re: Arby's video ads - 03/02/17 01:51 PM
I had it earlier, but nothing in the past few weeks
Posted By: ddubia Re: Arby's video ads - 03/11/17 09:00 PM
I've been having issues today.

Open a thread, it jumps to my first unread post, then it jumps to the top of the thread to the video ad. There is an "X" that allows shutting it off but then I have to scroll down to find my last unread post. If I then make a post, when my post shows up it again jumps to the video ad.

It's doing this in every thread in the PF forum. I haven't tried the others.

It happened to me earlier today.

I noticed it only happens when I am using google. It hasn't happened if I get on this site through Microsoft Edge.

Wonder if that is a coincidence or a correlation?

Yeah, this and a couple of other wonky issues related to those ads have been bothering me the past few days. I'm on the verge of removing or replacing them.
Posted By: Vambo Re: Arby's video ads - 03/14/17 03:26 AM
The spot where the ADs were are now blank for me.
Posted By: PDXBrownsFan Re: Arby's video ads - 03/14/17 01:26 PM
Yes, these ads are causing me problems too. It keeps making my screen move back up to the top until I exit the ad and if I use the quick reply box my typing stops until I exit out of the ad.

Super annoying!

Oddest thing. Right after my last post in this Forum the ads stopped being annoying, instantly. I waited and the issue only happened two other times but had otherwise stopped. It hasn't occurred since.

I use mozilla/firefox and its tracking protection feature and I don't see any ads.

It's baaack. This morning I was jerked to the top of a thread I was reading four times. Then I'd scroll down to continue reading only to be jerked to the top of the thread before I could read the next post. Add that to the Arby's audio and it's beyond annoying.

Things may crop back up from time to time, so I will have to monitor it a bit, but I think I've tracked down everything that has been causing these problems. There were a few different companies using these types of ads as well as several that simply attempted to link directly to YouTube channels which didn't exist (which is weird).

Anyway, hopefully this is resolved for a while.

I'll never understand how companies think attracting business by annoying the heck out of potential customers is a good idea.

Things have been much better. As you said, from time to time they crop up but overall much, much better. thumbsup

I am now having the same issue w/the Navy Federal Credit commercial. It's the one where a female soldier is getting married. As soon as it loads, the page jumps up the age and I am unable to scroll down.

Anyone else having this problem or do you know what I can do to fix the issue?

Thanks.

I had the same problem with several ads. I was using IE as my browser. I started using Firefox as my browser and the problem vanished.

I've been trying to keep an eye on this, but it is difficult.

Thanks for the feedback.

No problem. I'm certainly not computer savvy but I look for easy fixes. I just felt it may be useful to other posters having the same problem I did.

I use Firefox as my browser and still get it now and again.
Posted By: YTownBrownsFan Re: Arby's video ads - 06/01/17 03:34 AM
I use Maxthon, and never get it. wink

I use mozilla/firefox and I have no problems.

This. And it's alive and annoying as hell this evening!
Posted By: Dave Re: Arby's video ads - 06/25/17 03:28 PM
Me too, and it doesn't appear to be triggered by any specific ad.
