Just tried to click the "Like" button on two different posts on both IE and Mozilla (Firefox) and it won't register on either.
In the land of "everybody gets a trophy", it's so unfair that some posts get more likes than others.
I prefer to show my approval of a post without cluttering things up with another post.
I noticed that this morning as well.
It's on the To Do list for when I get a break from work.

I usually use the like button to acknowledge that I agree with the poster without cluttering up the board with redundant posts, or worse, the silly and annoying "agreed", "QFT", or "^This^" posts.

Like, hmm, this could get out-a-hand.
I agree w/you and jfan in part.
Of course, this is just my opinion and don't feel strongly enough to debate it, but......
I agree w/you guys that it's a good way to acknowledge a good post, an educational post, or one that you simply agree with.
On the other hand, the "like" button is often used to support insults. Call someone a "racist" because they don't agree w/you about the election and you get 4 "likes." Call someone "ignorant" and you get multiple likes. Tell a lie about a person and get multiple likes.
Like most things, it would be better if people showed more responsibility and morals in what they support.
I'm just glad there is no flipping the bird button around here

After the whining stopped you actually made a point.

A don't like button could be fun and I imagine, used more frequently.
Just what we need. Another way to promote division.

Maybe we should go the reddit route with upvotes and downvotes. Then we can bury all the troll threads.
Quantity over quality, post count rules.
