I think there are only a few teams who can win the entire thing.
AFC Championship - Pittsburgh over New England
NFC Championship - Dallas over Seattle
Super Bowl - Pittsburgh over Dallas
This weekend's winners:
Oakland, Pitt, Seattle, Packers
Not a prediction, only a hope...
Anybody but the Steelers.
Wildcard Predictions:
Texans, Steelers, Seahawks, Giants
An awesome match up for the Super Bowl would be KC v Detroit! Man, I would love it if that happened. It would be great for the game!
Or, KC v Atlanta.
But, realistically I know neither is a likely scenario. Saying that, KC has the easier route to the AFC Championship.
I think the giants are going in the NFC.
Playoff Eli isn't a joke. The cowboys better pray the giants don't make it out of Green Bay
This weekend's games:
Raiders over Texans
Seahawks over Lions
Steelers over Dolphins
Giants over Packers
This is Brady's swan song opportunity. I think he makes the most of it.
No predictions, but man, Oakland really had a bad stroke of luck. They're LT is out. Another tackle is out and one of their guards is questionable.
They hae a great OL, but Connor Cook should be very afraid.
It's a shame with Oakland. Before their OL and Carr went down, they had a great shot. I really do feel bad for them.
Yeah, I'm not a Raider fan, but that sucks.
Wild Card Weekend :
Texans over Raiders ... No Carr At QB Seahawks over Lions ... Home Field
Steelers over Dolphins ... Hope the Dolphins pull the upset Packers over Giants ... Lambeau
I'm just doing this week because that's all I have the energy to do.
Texans big over the Raiders (31-9) - No way Cook will do anything in his first NFL start, against that defense, ON THE ROAD. Sucks for the Raiders to be that close to such a great season and it to end that way.
Seahawks wait until middle of the 4th to put away the Lions (27-13) - Stafford is hurt, the Seahawks are at home and the Lions haven't won a playoff game in like 25 years. Sorry Detroit. I would really enjoy seeing the Lions win though.
Steelers will destroy the Dolphins (38-10) - Please, we know how this goes. I don't even know if I'll watch this one.
Packers with a very late TD to beat the Giants (31-27) - I think this will be the only "good" game of the weekend. "Playoff Eli" is a myth but I believe in it for now, I severely dislike the Packers and their QB. The Giants will kick a late FG to go up 3, leaving 1:09 on the clock and then Rodgers will march the length of the field to score a TD will a few seconds left.
Seachickens @ Falcons - (35-38 Falcons) - This will be a shootout and it's going to come down to the team that gets the ball last. Seattle will tie late but the Falcons will drive for a FG to win as time expires.
Texans @ Patriots - (3-42 Pats) - Bloodbath.
Steelers @ Chiefs - (24-13 Steelers) - Icy field favors the Steelers running game. The game will be mostly close until a mid-4th Q TD by the Steelers puts it away. Oh well.
Packers @ Cowboys - (24-28 Cowboys) - Zeke will run all over the Packers and Rodgers will throw all over the Boys, but without Nelson on the field, the Packers won't be able to consistently move the ball in the 2nd half. We might get to see another hail mary, but this one will get batted away to preserve the win for the Boys. Jerry celebrates.
Cowboys
Chiefs
Patriots
Falcons
Packers
Seahawks
Patriots
Cheifs
Cowboys (but rooting for the Packers)
Seahawks
Patriots (seriously...just play your B team)
Steelers (they can take the Patriots who I absolutely hate)
Dallas
Seattle
Chiefs
Patriots
Atlanta
I'm guessing it'll be Atlanta at Dallas and Pittsburgh at New England
AFC Championship - New England over Pittsburgh
NFC Championship - Green Bay over Atlanta
Super Bowl - Green Bay over New England
Superbowl: NE and GB, I think GB takes it.
Pittsburgh and Green Bay win this weekend.
Pittsburgh and Green Bay win this weekend.
I picked NE but it wouldn't surprise me to see Pittsburgh win
Pittsburgh and Green Bay win this weekend.
That would be a wonderful matchup...
Their offense cooks. I am surprised how impressed I was with their defense! Looks like a solid and total package to me. Ryam might be for real.
Arthur Blank is a pretty good guy by all accounts I've read,, I'd be fine with him getting a trophy..
Remember when Oregon's offense "cooked" and they looked unstoppable w/Mariota?
Yea, they then met THE Ohio State University and were stopped dead in their tracks.
Not comparing college ball to pro ball, at all. Just sayin'....people get caught up in the fast, slick, sexy downfield ball that Atlanta plays just as the Mariota Ducks played. It is intoxicating to watch as they wrack up points and make a defense suffer as they move quick as lightning pushing them back on their heels.
And then....they meet a coach and a team that knows how to slow them down, manipulate the field and the line of scrimmage so that the tempo becomes dictated by the defense rather than the offense. When that happens the pendulum swings and the opponents offense begins clicking as all momentum is now in their favor. Example: OSU v Oregon in the National Championship.
All of that said, I do hope Atlanta wins. I really could care less about the Falcons. They are a team and a city I rarely think about. But, I am SO tired of NE and it would be nice to see a new team win it. Kinda like Seattle when they first came on the scene and won it with Carroll. That was refreshing. The same 'ol teams are getting boring. But, don't ever underestimate BB. I just hope for a tight, exciting, competitive match. Maybe another GB v Dallas type match up.
Belichick will dial something up on defence, he always does.
I think NE will win going away, actually.
But what do I know?
What BB does well is to take away your best weapon. The problem is, the Falcons have a lot of play makers and do a lot quite well.
While there's no doubt that Julio Jones is their star, both Sanu and Benjiman produce very well. They have also had a consistent running game.
I believe it will be a very close game. I'm certainly rooting for Atlanta. I'd love to see Mack and Benji get a ring.
I think you're mixing up Taylor Gabriel with Travis Benjamin, as Travis plays for Chargers or whatever they'll be called.
I'm obviously rooting for Atlanta. Seeing Mack get a ring would please me actually, even though he left us for bigger and better. Plus, NE is just a team I hate. The only time I rooted for them is because my hatred for Pittsburgh is even greater lol.
I think Atlanta's defense will surprise people. Their offense gets the spotlight mainly, but their defense has been deserving of credit/props. With that said, Brady can exploit any defense so...
I too think it'll be a close game, opposite of the blowouts we've been seeing.
Yeah, I get the smurfs mixed up sometimes. lol
Do you remember a couple of years ago when so many of our posters were calling Shanny trash?
Those same guys are the ones still loving what the Browns are doing.
They never learn.
I remember. Very well I remember.
A lot of people put ownership and our HC above everything. Even common sense. Everyone from that regime is gone now except for Sashi and Shanny is now a hot commodity for a HC position in the NFL. Funny how that works, huh?
I guess there could be a few posters whose comments could be twisted as calling Shanahan "trash", but if you look through these threads, you'll see that the general theme from posters seems quite the opposite. The second thread I only read the first few pages before it dovetailed into other stuff.
Enjoy
https://www.dawgtalkers.net/ubbthreads.php/topics/959518/1https://www.dawgtalkers.net/ubbthreads.php/topics/914878/1I think most people were upset with
how he left rather than what he did here as offensive coordinator.
A typical, childish response from you.
A typical childish whine from you.
I'm sorry you get that upset when you attempt to spin some narrative that just is not there.
Better luck next time.
We'll see how Shanny does as a HC, many say he doesn't have the charisma. But who knows till he becomes said HC.
I still say Shanny did not wish to stay here...we were a 1 year late hire rental for a better situation and he got his situation. He was one of the best OC's I've seen here who created space like no other. To me that is the key to OC's but again I don't think this was a FO thing but more of a Shanny wishing out of here. And it had nothing to do with this Regime of course.

Predictions:
I won't watch the pro bowl this week. Instead I'll be at the annual meat auction at a local bar.
Atlanta wins the SB 27-24 in the last second.
I am not upset at all. In fact, I was laughing my ass off at you.
Whatever makes you feel better about yourself.
LOL........that is what I was thinking about you when you actually took time to go back and read old posts in order to make me look bad.
Like I said, you must not have a life.
Detroit is a team to keep an eye on next year. They MUST resign Warford and Reiff. However, they are a team that's really close to breaking through imo. The have the offensive line, QB, weapons, and decent running backs. They have a constantly improving defense as well.
They just need to keep their guys and draft defense heavy. I think they win their division next year.
I think they are a little thin at RB and in the OL. I also think they lack a home-run hitter who can take it the distance on any play.
LOL........that is what I was thinking about you when you actually took time to go back and read old posts in order to make me look bad.

It literally takes 30 seconds to use the search function on this site so I'd suggest learning how to use it before you try to make up stuff on here. Of course people will make you look bad when you attempt to create something that isn't there.
It's pretty simple: Don't make crap up. People call you out on this all the time and you never learn.
As I said, better luck next time.

DEF-
I think Bill will shutdown the base inside and outside zone plays.
And the passing game is going to double/roll coverage to Julio.
OFF-
Brady/Bill/McDaniels are very familiar with the Falcons style of defensr after facing off with Seattle.
It took you 30 seconds to read through those posts? LMAO
But yeah, I am the one making crap up.
Dude, people don't like to see all this bickering, yet you continue to start crap. Give it a rest.
Then don't make crap up. It's that easy.
I did not make anything up.
You are just being you.
I did not make anything up.
Riiiiight.
You both may as well stop...I've run out of popcorn.
(Obviously not directed at you, D-4-L).
That's sounds about right, but I'll be rootin' for Atlanta. (Sick of the Patriots!)

+1
Hard to assess. If Beasly can get to Brady, I think the Falcons win, if he can't it's going to be a Pats win. I hate to simplify it that much but that really the lynch pin in my estimation.
Atlanta - 33
New England -28
I think it's a close, shootout ... like most here have said
There shouldn’t be any worries regarding the status of Atlanta Falcons center Alex Mack. Heck, one Falcons player even forgot he was injured based on how Mack has looked in practice this week.
A player told NFL Network’s Tiffany Blackmon that Mack’s looked awfully good this week.
“Mack looks great out there, I forgot he was injured the way he looks in his pass sets,” the player told Blackmon.
Mack has been dealing with an ankle injury suffered during the NFC Championship game. It appears he’ll be at full strength come kickoff against the New England Patriots on Sunday evening.

I am taking Falcons
33-30
I may be going against the odds but here goes anyway.....
Falcons 34
Patriots 27

You are constantly whining about posters attacking you, yet in every thread I read this morning you are lambasting posters with a different opinion.
It is never ending

Falcons 34

I hope the Falcons win too. But if I had to bet, I'd bet on the Patriots.
P.S. Is it just me or do almost all Browns fans root for the underdog?
I almost always do.
I can't comment for all Browns fans, but about the only time I root for the favorite is when it's the Packers.
How does Atlanta stand a chance?
How does Atlanta stand a chance?
I hope they do at least okay. So many of these games the last few weeks have been awfully one-sided. Ya get all pumped up for these games and then it turns out that they suck.
I predict the team from Georgia wins 35-27 and the team from New England complains that it wasn't fair because they had more total yards.
I am all in on Atlanta winning. Not because I like the Falcons nor because I want to see Mack/Gabriel/Shanny win a ring (honestly, I could care less)...mainly because I am SO tired of the Patriots and Boston teams that I want to see a new team take it.
To be honest I also just want it to be a fun, exciting game. Even if that means NE win I would take that as a compromise over a boring blowout.
A team will win scoring on the last possession. And since Bill is smarter than most coaches, he'll get the ball last.
Pats 34
Falcons 31

Good call! Pretty damn close, dude.
Well I was looking close to see if the Falcons would not score on their first possession a key for me on the game...Falcons drive was stopped after one long run.
Was looking at my other key...Falcons Hitting Tom Brady hard and often...they succeeded and was one of the reasons they built that 25 point lead.
2nd half adjustments had less hits on Brady and more stops on Falcons. Note although Falcons had the lead they were way behind in plays ran and time of possession. I think the Falcons D simply tired out as the game went on...and Pats made these long drives and got the ball back pretty quick!

Didn't they sack him 2/3 times in the 2nd half?
Gassed, Gassed, Gassed. That defense looked so gassed at the end of that game. Shanahan HAS to take some of the blame.....they rant he ball 5 times after they were up by 25.
Leading by 25, ran the ball 5 times....lost. Time of possession was unreal.
The only way to beat Brady is by getting to him, which they were doing through 3 quarters. They didn't stand a chance on that last drive in OT. They were spent after 3.
