Trump told a crowd of nearly all white supporters that they have 'good genes'

President Donald Trump on Friday told a crowd of nearly all white supporters in Minnesota that they have "good genes" and referenced the "racehorse theory," or the belief that some people are born genetically superior.

"You have good genes. You know that, right? You have good genes. A lot of it is about the genes, isn't it, don't you believe? The racehorse theory. You think we're so different? You have good genes in Minnesota," Trump said to his supporters in a state where many people are of Scandinavian descent.

Minnesota is about 79% white, according to the US Census Bureau, and the crowd on Friday appeared to reflect that.

At other points in the rally, Trump disparaged refugees and applauded a recent incident in which a reporter was struck in the knee with a rubber bullet fired by police.

The president's comments on "good genes" prompted alarm on social media and comparisons to the Nazi obsession with the "master race" and eugenics.

"As a historian who has written about the Holocaust, I'll say bluntly: This is indistinguishable from the Nazi rhetoric that led to Jews, disabled people, LGBTQ, Romani and others being exterminated. This is America 2020. This is where the GOP has taken us," Steve Silberman, an author and historian, tweeted.

Trump has a long history of suggesting certain people, including himself, have superior genetics.

"I have Ivy League education, smart guy, good genes. I have great genes and all that stuff which I'm a believer in," Trump said at a 2016 rally in Biloxi, Mississippi.

"I'm a gene believer," Trump told CNN in 2010. "Hey, when you connect two racehorses, you get usually end up with a fast horse."

"I'm proud to have that German blood ... great stuff," Trump said in a 2014 documentary.

Trump has also rejected the notion that "all men are created equal," perhaps the most famous line from the Declaration of Independence, saying some men are "smart" and some "aren't."

During a tour in May of a Ford manufacturing facility in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the president praised Henry Ford's "good bloodlines."

Trump was heavily criticized over these comments at the time, given Ford's anti-Semitic writings and his relationship with the Nazis.

So, he tells a group of people that have white and black members that "you have good genes in Minnesota" and that turns into comparisons w/Nazis.

It's no wonder a lot of America is turned off by the left.
I don't care who is in the crowd, it's not a good line for these turbulent times.

There are differences in people due to their genetics, but using a term like "good" colors them in terms of morality.

Furthermore, how can he tell what genes they have? Coloring, height, what can you really tell just by looking at someone? What's good or bad about those things?
I did not say it was a good thing to say. I commented on the overreaction of comparing it to Nazi Germany. I'll stand by that statement.

If the "Nazi" agenda talk wasn't already a major talking point, I'd agree with you. But to talk about genes after having all the pushback against "patriotic education"/Hitler youth is troubling. Throw in all the other racial insensitivity (at best) of his presidency, and it's gotten well past ridiculous.

I think that more of America is turned off by the ugly inferences he made in that speech. Without specifically naming Minnesota's Somali community, he cynically inferred that a Biden presidency would turn MN into a "refugee camp." It's emblematic of a pattern of remarks by him, going back decades:

Rapists.
Murderers.
Caravans of brown invaders from the South.
"Infestation."
"S#hole countries."
Central Park 5 should still be put to death even after exoneration.
No Spades on my casino floors when I'm here. Jews should be in back, counting my money.
Mark those rental applications with a red letter C (for 'colored').
Gonzalo Curiel can't preside over my case because he's Mexican.
Biden will turn your suburban Shangri-La into a public housing slum.

This micro-point you are trying to make ignores this despicable man's 40+-year glaring history of statements and thoughts like these. It is who he has always been. So I'm telling you now, in no uncertain terms:

Context counts for something.

I've known who and what this guy is since the first time he dropped onto my TV. His personal history is available for all. He's been maddeningly consistent for almost a half-century. He is unashamedly the way he is... which is why no explaining or obfuscating about him ever works. He continues to be the low-class vulgarian he has always been, and all the Sarah Sanderzuz and Reince Priebuzuz who try to daily massage his image get chewed up by the sharp blades of objective truth.

When I watched his speech, there was no doubt in my mind what message he was trying to send. Truth be told, it was pretty ham-handed, obvious, and vulgar. These are no longer dog-whistle messages. They are NFL stadium-level PA address messages.

I have significantly reduced my footprint in this forum because it has been good for me. I still read; I no longer feel the compulsive need to respond to everything in my scroll. So please take that into account as you read what I'm saying tonight. I'm taking the time to bang this one out because I think it's a truly important moment in these ongoing conversations.

These remarks chilled me to my core, Vers.

All Right/Left politics aside, this is some seriously messed-up stuff. The teacher in you knows that what I'm saying is true. And if you are half the advocate for minority causes that you've always claimed to be, there is no way you could have heard this man's words without hearing the same message I did. Without hearing what every friend or acquaintance of George Floyd's heard. What every Somali-American living in Minnesota heard.

We've all heard it.
Every day of Our "hyphen-American" lives.

History books have quotes that sound like this man.

And every time 'good genes' are mentioned, bad historical s# happens almost immediately afterward.

I'm still turned off by the left, but I want nothing to do with someone that implies that certain people can be deemed superior due to genetic makeup. (I'm not talking obvious congenital diseases or chromosomal abnormalities here). That wasn't the only time he's said things similar. It's no different than OCD's emotional intelligence babbling.
Speaking of good Gene's

Not related to any post in particular, but i think part of the issue when people compare what trump et al are doing to nazi germany is that they really mean pre-nazi germany.

When people say nazi germany it invokes thought of the third reich at its peak of evil.

When used in these discussions, it really means hitler and the nazi before they came to power and the comparison is to how they went from a party that barely got a 2nd thought to the dominate party in the country.
Yep except we get this instead of a Nazi SS

j/c:

I am not defending Trump when I say this, but the comparisons of Nazi Germany to current-day United States are ridiculous. One can talk about whether it was before they got power or after they were in power, but neither compares to the United States.

I have a good understanding of why Hitler was able to come to power and why the German people bought in. Those circumstances do not resemble what is going on in our country.

The Nazi comparisons whether it be from the right who complain about Covid restrictions or the left who using it for political gain are off-base.

Yes, I always see all races at his rallies. I laughed when I saw this thread.
Good genes

Mean Gene Okerlund
Gene Simmons
Gene Kelly
Gene Wilder
Gene Upshaw

I didn't babble, I posted an article.
Silberman said "indistinguishable from Nazi rhetoric. LOL!!! So people from MINNESOTA are the Master Race, and all the other states are inferior races, and we need to only breed people from Minnesota to obtain Eugenics. willynilly Is this the "intelligence" that characterizes "intelligent" people that you posted an article about in your other thread.

Hail to the Motherland, Master race, MINNESOTA!!!!!
I never saw 'master race' in there but the dangerous rhetoric sure is very Nazi like. But I can see you don't believe any of that because Trump and Jesus.

The whole thread is fallacious, because good and bad genes, if there are any such categories, would not be conditioned by race. If you are a Darwinist would be influenced by such things as environment and other similar factors. If you are a Christian, since you mentioned Jesus, you would not categorize good and bad genes based on race, because Christians believe that we all descended from the same original parents. At least, conservative Christians do.

So maybe Trump meant that Minnesotans are hearty people, which would be due to non-racial factors, like for example, environment.

And now I remember why I feel like the left has also gone well beyond ridiculous.

You'd think Black Lives Matters supporters would be more sensitive about people in collars and chains. ...what was all that about emotional IQ?

And maybe he was talking about the pants they were wearing. rolleyes
usually when you say good genes, it refers to overall health in your parents and grandparents, etc that was passed down to you. That's usually what it means, and that can be true or false of any race. I'm a biscuit because my mama was a whole grain roll and my dada was a slice of cornbread.

And that's the key here. Germany didn't just wake up one day and it was suddenly controlled by Nazis and their ideology. It was a process that gradually came in increments. One slow step at a time. There are certainly comparisons to be made when you look at some of Trump's comments over the years.
jc

i think whats so funny about this is that conservatives whine about identity politics, only to vote for a guy who pushes identity politics.

they see themselves in Trump so much, and it just doesn't make any sense.

Rural americans use to whine about the hollywood and big city types......so they vote for a silver spoon 1 percenter from NYC who has his own reality tv show?

WHHHHAAAAT? LMFAO

Trump wouldn't be caught DEAD in places like WV prior to running for president. he views the very people who support him as low lives.

for god's sakes....white conservatives get stuck on their own branding of identity politics, and cheer for crap like what trump says. but why?

Trump is the SAME GUY who prefers his jobs be worked by immigrants and asians rather than the white people who supports him!!! i mean this dude told y'all that deregulations and tax cuts was gonna bring manufacturing back, but instead, we had manufacturing in contraction even BEFORE the pandemic.

Trump STILL didn't bring his jobs back from southeast asia, even with the tax cuts and deregulations.

all you white guys arguing in favor of your corporate slave masters are STILL too clueless to realize that the white guys who run those corporations can't WAIT to FIRE YOUR white ass and give your job to some dude in Asia.

but yea, you guys have 'good genes.'

white american identity politics is the funniest thing ever, because y'all don't even like each other enough for it to matter.
AND

i want to be clear about something, cause i know some of you are gonna act offended.

i make the distinction between white americans in post, because i got to see firsthand how different it is in europe. not saying there aren't racist, but BOY is it different than here.

need i remind you guys that Irish and British are the same skin color, and yet there's still beef between the two.

need i remind you that one of the reasons brexit happened was the brits being tired of people coming over from countries like poland and taking jobs.

last time i checked, polish people are white.

they do not color-code like we LOVE doing here in America. but a lot of that has to do with white americans NOT treating this country like a melting pot.

if you came from europe after the civil war, you were deemed white regardless of where you came from in europe, due to a post-racial society and a bitter ass south.

so irish immigrants who had beef with the british were told they were the same, despite not being the same.

last time i checked, all the white guys HATED the germans, cause you know, they started two WW's against other white people.

I can go on and on, and i say that because i need you white americans to EDUCATE yourselves on what identity is.

your skin tone and 'good genes' rhetoric doesn't give you any special powers, just like my skin tone doesn't either.
you can not stand/sit here and tell this board or anybody in public that you treat all people equal and/or don't see color, and then turn around and support/defend a guy who does exactly the opposite.

you told me you wanted a patriot in office, so you voted for a draft dodger.

you told me you wanted a god fearing christian man, so you voted for a guy who has 5 kids with 3 different women and can't quote a bible verse.

you told me you wanted a businessman in office, so you voted for a guy with 4 bankruptcies and fraud cases that would make the nigerians jealous.

you told me that you hated the liberals and identity politics, so you voted for a guy who got elected by doing exactly that.

you told me you hated hollywood, the elites, and their constant liberal opinions, so you voted for a silver spooned reality tv star born and raised in NYC.

everything about trump supporters and their ideas of a leader has been nothing but a complete contradiction.
“I am not defending Trump when I say this, but“.

Lol there it is again.
If you believe in Eugenics, you think he's right. It has nothing to do with being white. You might be a racist if you think only white people have desirable characteristics.

The fact that you would draw "he means white's only" means you're seeing racism in everything. It is possible he meant only whites? Sure, just as likely as he meant that it was because they are thick and hearty and can manage the cold.

This authoritarian version of context that liberals hold is maddening. You have no idea what he meant, hell he might not even know in what context he meant.
Considering the demographics of Minnesota, you may be reaching just a tad on this one.
The caveat "may" was exactly my point.
Okay, then when using the facts of their demographics can we say it was 80% directed towards white people? wink
So hard to understand that it's so easy to understand,

The comments don't bother me, if there are actions, they do,

It's just like when I hear Trump say he's going to try for a 3rd term,
and he says he's saying it because the Dems would be triggered, we know it's in jest,
It's like seeing a late night show, , show a picture of Trump on a plane eating/digging in, to a bunch of Kentucky Fried Chicken with a giant smile on his face,
He knows how the pic looks and he's goading (Biden taught me that word) all of his naysayers.

How do people not love this guy. rofl oh well.

Because his behavior is beneath the office he holds. Because if my family member acted like this I’d call them out. Because I wouldn’t tolerate similar behaviors in coworkers, friends, family or anyone else I’d associate with. He’s a petulant child. He’s a toddler with power. He’s no man... except a con man.
I see no redeeming qualities in him at all.
Everything is about pwning the libs...
I could be wrong, but I don't think Trump was talking about "white" people. I think he was referring to Scandinavians. Minnesota, I believe, has more Scandinavians than any other state in the country. I could be wrong, but doubt it.

We all know that the football team is called the Vikings. They were fierce warriors.

Scandinavians are known for being tall, fit, incredibly strong, having great endurance, etc.

He was complimenting the Scandinavians heritage because this is an election year and he wants to win. He was not being a "Nazi."

People are so freaking dumb.

Oh, and Perfect.........let me know if you want a history lesson on the circumstances of how Hitler rose to power and why he was able to con the German people. I taught Modern History w/WWII being the biggest block to high school students for two straight years. I also always was extremely curious as to why the German people bought into Hitler and the Nazis. I know what I'm talking about and believe me, what is going on in this country is far, far different than what went on in Germany.
I will gladly discuss this w/anyone if they want to talk rationally. I will not discuss if you just want to play the usual one-sided, draw-a-line-in-the-sand crap.

And before I leave this particular post, I want to scold all of you who compare what went on Nazi Germany to what is going on in the United States. The German people suffered for decades in poverty and it is especially disrespectful to all the Jews, blacks, and homosexuals who were tortured and murdered by the Nazis. Comparing what is going on in the USA is a disservice to all of those who were victims of the Nazis.

Uhhh...

Since you are a teacher of history -- you are aware that "Aryan" (in the parlance of Nazi Germany) specifically referred to Nordic/Scandinavian people right?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazism_and_race

Quote:

Hitler made references to an "Aryan Race" founding a superior type of humanity. The purest stock of Aryans according to Nazi ideology was the Nordic people of Germany, England, The Netherlands and Scandinavia. The Nazis defined Nordics as being identified by tall stature (average 175 cm), long faces, prominent chins, narrow and straight noses with a low bridge, lean builds, doliocephalic skulls, straight light hair, light eyes, and fair skin.[2] The Nazis claimed that Germanic people specifically represented a southern branch of the Aryan-Nordic population.

Quote:
Hitler Youth propaganda emphasized the "Nordic" nature of Germans, with the text issued to all Hitler Youth members stating: "the principal ingredient of our people is the Nordic race (55%).

Quote:
According to Gunther, the purest Nordic regions were Scandinavia and northern Germany, particularly Norway and Sweden, specifying: "We may, perhaps, take the Swedish blood to be over 80 per cent Nordic, the Norwegian blood about 80 per cent." Britain and southern Germany by contrast were not considered entirely Nordic.

I am aware of many things. I am aware that Minnesota has a large Scandinavian population and I believe Trump was praising those people's genes because they are tall, fit, strong, known for great endurance, etc.

I do not believe he was promoting the Nazi doctrine, at all. I think it was a campaign strategy to massage the egos of potential voters.

I'm okay w/you disagreeing. However, this is a message board and I have the right to voice my opinion, especially since it makes so much sense.

Here is the thing about you.....you question me repeatedly, but Perfect displays a cartoon of Trump w/a white man chained and tethered and you don't say a word. He, and others, repeatedly refer to all Trump supporters as fascists, Nazis, racists, etc and you don't say a word.

Yet, you try and get on me about my take on Trump praising the Scandinavian gene pool?

You can have the last word, but I'm done w/that.

And again, if anyone really wants to discuss how Hitler and the Nazis rose to power and compare it to Trump and the US, I am more than willing to have a rational discussion.
Quote:
I am aware of many things. I am aware that Minnesota has a large Scandinavian population and I believe Trump was praising those people's genes because they are tall, fit, strong, known for great endurance, etc.

I do not believe he was promoting the Nazi doctrine,

Dude - "Scandanavians are ' tall, fit, strong, known for great endurance, etc.' " is literally the Nazi doctrine...

I don't think Trump was in Minnesota arguing for extermination camps -- but the sentence you just constructed is certainly part of Nazi ideology...
And you think that is why Trump made that comment? You think he is smart enough himself and do you think he trust the audience is smart enough to make the connection of the Nazi doctrine because he wants the United States to follow the Nazi lead?

Come on.

He was praising the the "genes" of the Scandinavian people. It was a campaign thing. Jesus, not everything is a conspiracy theory.

But again, I'm okay w/us disagreeing on the message. I just wanted to voice my own opinion.

And once again.............does anyone want to have a realistic discussion regarding the comparisons to Hitler and the Nazis vs Trump and current day America? I am not an expert, but I know enough about the topic to generate an informed opinion.
Not saying you are doing this intentionally because I do not think you are, but your edits are throwing me off. I keep responding to your first editions and then the edit is a bit different. I'm not getting on you. I just don't want to hear from some others how I am misrepresenting what you are saying.

I think many of his followers would pick up on a dog whistle the size of a trumpet.
I would not say "many," but no doubt, he has followers who are into that BS. Those people are scum and we need to shut them down.

I agree - perhaps the president shouldn't continue to prop them up then?

Sorry - I tend to re-read and do that... but i don't think they are minor comments...

For the record, I added the second and third quotes from the wiki article 5-10 min later...

and I changed "literally is" to "is literally" in the next post, because it sounded better.
Okay, I'm getting the feeling that one side does not want me to discuss the comparisons of Hitler vs Trump and the circumstances that Germany was in compared to where the USA is in currently.

I do know that there are a lot of folks on this board who are pretty much middle of the road. They see the good and bad in both parties. I think you call them Centrists, but I'm not sure about that. That makes sense to me because centr is the Latin root word for "center." I could be wrong, but I doubt it. I also think that there are people on the right who don't like to post on this forum due to the bullying by a group of about a half dozen or so dudes on the left.

So, w/out really discussing it.............here are some things to research in case you are interested.

--The dates of WWI.

--The Treaty of Versailles and how its mandates affected Germany.

--The massive destruction of the German homeland.

--The long-lasting poverty that followed the war and the treaty.

--The timing of the Global Great Depression.

--The loathing of the German people had for the Treaty of Versailles.

--The absence of hope. Do not devalue this one. These people went over a decade in a state of immense poverty. They looked around and saw the Jews thriving. [Btw.......I am a huge supporter of the Jews. I am just talking about the common man in Germany.]

--Their nation was once great. They were known for their intelligence, inventions, and innovations. And now, they were thrust in an over a decade of despair.

--Now, research what Hitler and the Nazis promised them. Look up how it was important to find a common enemy. Consider that people need to have hope. Consider that they feel they are being exploited. Consider that they hung on to promises due to despair. Consider they wanted someone to blame.

--Research Hitler's background. His upbringing. Homeless. Reserved, yet a dynamic speaker. Trump, born into wealth. Flamboyant, yet a terrible orator.

--One last thing.............consider, if you will, which group in our current society that most closely resembles the Nazi party? The ones who are already in control and have the wealth, or the poor and downtrodden, who feel exploited by the elite and are protesting against the establishment?

--FWIW: I am not saying the the BLM movement is similar to the the Nazi party, but if one examines the details, they have a lot more in common than the Trump and the GOP does w/the Nazis.

No big deal. I didn't think you were pulling a fast one. I was just clarifying because one of my replies seemed a bit off after the edit. Again............no big deal.
Yes the anti fascists are the fascists... willynilly

Come on man, I'm familiar with all those topics and you are right, it sounds a lot like what is happening here. BUT the driving force is Trump and his supporters. The racism, bigotry, hateful rhetoric toward all things left, the throwing away/destruction of our institutions and norms... it's all eerily similar to the German situation. Add this to a divided population that is being kept at each other's throats, while many never recovered from 2008 and are now looking at even harder times. And NOBODY is looking out for them...

Then Trump says crap like, you have good genes, the best genes, the greatest genes... Sounds like the crap the Nazis did to me.

Just me and my opinion, but I think the comments about Trump and Hitler has less to do with the country at large and "Nazi Germany" as it does to do with how, as leaders, they share similar autocratic tendencies and are essentially xenophobic. I think you probably realize this.

A quick google on the subject and I found this which I think will resonate with most:

https://www.heraldstaronline.com/opinion...tler-and-trump/

Both Hitler and Trump attack the judiciary and rule of law.
Both Hitler and Trump attack the media.
Both men degrade anyone who disagrees with them.
Both denigrate the immigrants.
Both demonize their political opponents.
Neither was elected by the majority.

Hitler attacked democracy itself by purging voter roles and challenging the integrity of electoral process. Before the outcome of the 2016 election was made final Trump said he would decline to accept anything other than a win. That it was rigged.

Then of course there's the fact that Trump is happy to pander to the Alt Right and the White Supremacists. He retweets their memes, he calls the Qanon crackpots "patriotic" .... Whether you want to call Trump a racist, he certainly has a history going back to his days owning/running his casinos treating his black employees very differently and in a "highly questionable" fashion as well as numerous other issues.

And of course there is the " The Big lie" comparison - whereby the pathological liar that is Trump has echoes of how Hitler lied to Germany so outrageously and an expression that was coined by Hitler.

Nazi's and BLM ??? Yeah - you'd have to work hard to make those dots connect.
I was hoping for a decent exchange, but it won't happen. So, for all of you who are on the fence, do the research for yourself and see if I am correct or not. I'll answer any questions whether it be in a PM or even here on the the board. Again, I am not a historian, but I have a decent understanding of what went on in Germany and it's not close to what is going on in the USA.
I agree the countries were in different situations.

I guess when I am comparing trump/hitler, I am more comparing their methodology for gaining control. And the comparison to nazi's is the easiest because that is the most familiar but I think this is really the how to become an autocrat/dictator playbook.

I recently watched a netflix series called Hitler's Circle of Evil. As I watched, I was taken aback by the similarities between what they were showing in regards to how hitler gained his power to what I see trump trying to do.

If you have netflix I would recommend watching it. Whether you agree with my observation or not, it was a pretty good show.
j/c

I haven't watched that series. I might check it out because it sounds interesting.

I will only say that many articles, documentaries, books, speeches, etc may be slanted by propaganda one way or another. Heck, I remember watching President Regan extolling the "Freedom Fighters" on national TV. Well, we all know who that group turned out to be. Thus, I think it's a good idea to try to stick to the facts as much as possible.

I do think that there are sinister similarities to many governments and/or reigns of power throughout the course of history. Achieving power comes at a steep cost. Again, I am not a historian, but the best and/or most simple comparison to what is going on inside the United States is probably ancient Rome in the latter stages of their rule. They grew fat and lazy. They were too spread out and harbored much resentment from foreign lands. There was a lot of civil unrest. Wretched, deviant behavior was commonplace w/in Rome, itself. They crumbled from w/in and the outside world took advantage of Rome's inner conflict.

I have been part of the voice preaching for the people of the United States to "come together" or unite for years. Our message is falling upon deaf ears and minds that seek retribution and are driven by self-serving motives. I have shelved the "come together" talk....at least on this board.

I have not looked up the numbers but isn't 60 to 70 percent of the population white? That would mean almost any crowd would be mostly white? poke grin

It's no wonder a lot of America is turned off by the left.

Thank you!

It is amazing how desensitized we have gotten to this stuff - and how insanely outside the bounds (of any US politician since at least the 1970s) this is.

That seems extreme....
80% of the population in Minnesota is white. Do the math.
So was the last BLM gathering I saw.

It's almost 80% white. And Minnesota is where he chose to say this. I guess you're not making the connection.
Trump privately blamed Black Americans for lacking initiative: report

President Trump allegedly made private claims among senior officials that a lack of initiative, rather than racism, had prevented progress in the United States by Black Americans, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday.

The Post story put remarks Trump made in private in the context of other derogatory remarks it said he privately made about other groups, including Hispanics and Jewish Americans.

More than two dozen current and former U.S. officials spoke to the Post about the remarks, it said. Many did so on the condition of anonymity because they said they feared retribution.

Officials said that in one instance, Trump said following phone calls with Jewish lawmakers that Jews “are only in it for themselves” and “stick together” in an ethnic alliance.

In response to first lady Melania Trump’s planned 2018 trip to Africa, the president reportedly said he “could never understand why she would want to go there.”

According to a former senior White House official who spoke to the Post, Trump responded to staffers who challenged him on his views by saying, “No one loves Black people more than me.”

In response to a request for comment, the White House directed The Hill to a statement provided to the Post from White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Matthews.

“Donald Trump’s record as a private citizen and as president has been one of fighting for inclusion and advocating for the equal treatment of all,” Matthews told the Post. “Anyone who suggests otherwise is only seeking to sow division.”

The Post reported that none of the U.S. officials interviewed could provide an instance of Trump saying a racial or ethnic slur in his three and a half years in office. Additionally, the officials do not think Trump supports “white supremacy or white nationalism.”

The reporting comes with less than two months left until Trump faces re-election against Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Polls show Trump behind Biden, particularly among Black voters, though polls show Trump doing well with Hispanics compared to 2016.

On Tuesday, Trump announced that he was extending his administration’s ban on race- and sex-based discrimination training for federal agency employees by including federal contractors as well.

In an executive order, the White House claimed that training on “divisive concepts,” such as ideas that one racial group is superior, “perpetuates racial stereotypes and division and can use subtle coercive pressure to ensure conformity of viewpoint.”

Tell me if you will, how does it make a hard working patriotic Black man feel to see all these 16 and 17 year old white kids raising a fist as they subvert the BLM movement?

They return to the burbs at night asking their parents how the croquet game in the yard went today.

So the whole theme of this thread is nobody can tell white people they are good?

The only way to address white people is to call them disgraceful mouth breathers!

Oh for shame, how dare they have "white" skin, is the message that comes through!

OH they better accept it too, anything else is vile racism, thinking they are superior

Fact is, evidence shows, they can't even think they are "acceptable"

superior has nothing to do with it.

And if white is unacceptable, than anything non white is "superior"

The vile racism of the anti racism message, an anti racism message OverWhelmingly espoused all over society.
They're smarter than you are. They can do math. When only 13% of the population is black, they welcome people of other races to help them accomplish their goals. Numbers matter.

It may be a problem with your genes. I'm not sure.
Never mind Swish, Pit just told me how it feels to be a Black man.

i've said it before, i rather have the allies than not.

yes, some of them are appropriating the movement into something else. but overall, its been far more positive than negative.

i like when people from different backgrounds fight for each other. lets me know there's still hope for this country's future.
Thank you for your answer. thumbsup

Trump Just Signed an Executive Order Claiming That Anti-Racism Is the Real Racism

The new order takes aim at anti-racism training, or as the White House calls it, "offensive and anti-American race and sex stereotyping and scapegoating."

An executive order signed Tuesday by President Donald Trump essentially bans the military and federal contractors from conducting diversity training.

The executive order, which Trump said was meant to “to combat offensive and anti-American race and sex stereotyping and scapegoating,” bars contractors from conducting training that “teaches, advocates, or promotes divisive concepts” such as unconscious bias and systemic racism.

Companies who do conduct these trainings risk losing grants and contracts from the federal government. Trump issued a similar memo to federal agencies earlier this month.

“Americans should be taught to take PRIDE in our Great Country, and if you don’t, there’s nothing in it for you!” Trump tweeted Tuesday, announcing the executive order.

The order tells a revisionist history of the United States. For example, the order states that “Our Founding documents rejected these racialized views of America, which were soundly defeated on the blood-stained battlefields of the Civil War.” The Constitution included the Three-Fifths Compromise, which marked the legal worth of enslaved Black people as three-fifths of a white person. This definition stood for decades until it was officially killed off by the Reconstruction Amendments, which outlawed slavery and established, at least in theory, legal rights and protections for formerly enslaved people.

The executive order claims that anti-racism and anti-sexism efforts are, in fact, the real examples of racism and sexism.

"Instructors and materials teaching that men and members of certain races, as well as our most venerable institutions, are inherently sexist and racist are appearing in workplace diversity trainings across the country, even in components of the Federal Government and among Federal contractors," Trump’s order says.

Ironically, by Trump’s own admission, part of the purpose of the executive order is to prevent the feelings of white people, particularly men, from getting hurt. Trump specifically cites trainings that cause anyone to “feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress on account of his or her race or sex” as not allowed.

Workplace diversity advocates criticized Trump’s decision earlier this month, when he barred federal agencies from conducting similar trainings.

“We have to see each other as human beings, and we have to do whatever it takes, including taking whatever classes make that possible,” attorney M. E. Hart, who conducts racial sensitivity training for companies, told the Washington Post.

But the order tracks with Trump’s relentless attack on educating people about the history of racism in the United States. Last week, the president announced the “1776 Commission,” another election-year stunt seemingly meant to mine grievance from Trump’s base, to “restore patriotic education to our schools.”

During that announcement, Trump attacked the New York Times’ 1619 Project launched last year, saying it “rewrites American history to teach our children that we were founded on the principle of oppression, not freedom.”

Who was it asking for proof Trump is divisive?
Don't know, don't care... I have all the proof I need. I can hear him run his mouth.
Anyone who listens can hear it. Then his supporters will tell us how we should all unite. The irony is so thick you can cut it with a knife.

I made the connection buddy. But you missed my point. No matter where in the USA he ran his mouth almost always the majority of the crowd will be white since they make up most of the population.
