Horse feathers !
Crazy.
Plays like that used to be praised. many of the best safeties in history were famous for making plays like that. It was clearly a shoulder to the chest. The shock of the hit brought the guys head down. Complete garbage.
NFL should be ashamed
And Watt doesnt get fined for nailing Hudley
I read today that NFL viewership is down 20%, and that it will cost the owners over $900M. I think there is a lot incorrect assumption / conventional wisdom that the loss of viewers is because of the anthem kneelers. While I think that the player protests are a factor in reduced viewership, I actually believe that more people are tuning out because of the referees' flags flying on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays, rendering the games virtually unwatchable. And the NFL, without fail, will always double down on what I consider to be a brutal call on the field just like they did today, by levying a ridiculously high fine for the play in question. With all due respect to the posters who have stated that it was a good and correct call, there is literally nothing they can say that will convince me that Peppers play was anything other than a really good defensive play by an NFL Safety doing his job right. The NFL is committing institutional suicide with their arbitrary enforcement of the ever-changing rules of the game, IMO. It used to be a beautiful game. Now its just annoying.

Yet another reason Roger Goodell needs to step down as commissioner.
BS I love Peppers fire and passion. clean hit. kid loves to hit.
j/c:

I find myself disagreeing w/almost every decision the NFL makes.

I love football and spend a ton of time watching it, but man, the NFL decision makers are almost forcing me to stop watching.
rolleyes
This is most certainly a BS call.
thumbsdown tongue
that's a load of crap frown
Did anyone see the "personal foul" on the Bills player near the end of the Chiefs game?

There may not have been any contact at all with the Chief player, but t personal foul was called.

If you have not seen it, you should google it. The NFL has become a touch football league that is not watchable.
surprised peppers wasnt suspended for 2 or 3 games...
I miss the old days

Best play ever on Pit !
Here's the hardest hit I've ever seen. I was at this game in the upper deck at Riverfront Stadium and we heard it up there. Thom Darden layed the lumber on this one. I can't believe McInally survived, let alone come back into the game in the 2nd half. What a game it was....the 1980 Browns clinched the AFC Central.

Darden really overestimated McInally's vertical ability on that play and - I think - ended up hitting him a bit higher than he meant to. A couple other thoughts from that video: (1) I liked the Browns' uni's; and (2) at the beginning of the play you see #57, Clay Matthews rushing the passer and at the end of it, you see him 15-20 yards downfield trying to recover the loose ball. You also see him try to lateral the loose ball, LOL. What was it with him trying to lateral all the time? Just Clay being Clay, I guess.
I was at that game as well cool
