Obviously we'd like for Houston to lose and Indianapolis to win, though the latter is pretty tough
What else?
I lost last week in the semi’s ... played agains Gurley ... GRRRRR ... i also lost Fournette last week and lost by 7 points ... DOUBLE GRRRRRR ...
Our big payout is overall points champion ... last week was a perfect example of why ... i scored the 2nd most points in the league and LOST ...
I have the slimmest of leads in overall points right now ... our dumb ass league counts week 17 for overall points champion ... so i have to hang on for two more weeks ...
Thats ALL THAT MATTER TO ME as far as other games go ... *LOL* ...
I luckily squeaked by last week (thanks Cam Newton and Juju on the last catch) ... so I'm in the championship
$1,200 on the line this weekend
Good Luck ...
Good Luck ...
Football fans don't forget that there are NFL football games on today (Saturday, 12/23/17):
Colts - Ravens at 4:30 pm
&
Vikings - Packers at 8:30 pm.
also, Brett Hundley has made a case to be at least a target for QB needy teams over the offseason. Not great, but not terrible.
The Colts winning actually helps us with the Texans pick too. Double benefit!
sadly, according to those predictor things, the Colts chances are only 9%
It's incredible how bad Green Bay is when you don't play off coverage and allow Brett Hundley to throw it for 5 yards every play.
Week 16 Update:
What's the status of these coaches?
In the going to be fired/already fired camp:
McAdoo
Pagano
Fox
Lewis
Maybe:
Joseph
Lewis
del Rio
O'Brien
Gruden
Koetter
Would be surprised, but understand:
Caldwell
Bowles
Mularkey
Gruden
Might Retire:
Arians
Jimmy Haslam is the owner:
Jackson
i bet Del Rio, Joseph, and Koeetter are out ... Obrien is a Maybe for me
Are there enough retreads to fill these jobs or will they just jumble up this pile of turds and redistribute?
Not on top of things and rumors but I was surprised to see Del Rio's name on the list. You think he will be fired?
yeah, most likely Del Rio is gone ... they've really regressed (especially Carr)
The Colts / Ravens game? The Colts played kinda like the Browns.
Colts need Luck back.
Yeah, they are a shell of themselves

Watch out for the parade of McVay wannabes.
parking lot so empty, they turned it into a formula 1 track.

I bet if I drove by Dodger Stadium right now there'd be more cars in the parking lot.

The blackout rule being amended was the greatest thing to happen to Cinci fans and has probably saved Proctor and Gamble and Kroger millions of dollars now that the companies don't have to buy tickets to ensure a sell out.
TO's an field position ...
10-0 9ers, didn't see this coming.
Long way to go though.
Jimmy G is lighting up the Jags. Everyone in Cleveland should be fired for not getting him. Can we fire Sashi twice? INCREDIBLE the stupidity this team continues to show. Id take 2 QbS in this draft. Hell take 3.

Amazing what a real quarterback can do, but everyone thinks we should fire Hue cause he ain't developing Kizer right.

Wentz, Watson, Jimmy G ... not good enough to be Browns according to Sashi.
Goodness. I agree. If I were Haslam, I'd call Sashi today and fire him again. When he says "hello", just say "hey, it's jimmuh, just wanted to let you know you're fired, again".
I would do that every day for the next year.
What a POS. Actually, Haslam is the POS. He's the one who put Sashi in charge.
Man, there is no hope as long as Haslam owns this team. No hope.

Kyle Shannahan knew what the hell he was doing when he bolted ASAP.
Jimmy G just destroyed JAX
does that do anything for our pick?
Yeah for the Houston pick, momentarily our Houston pick goes to 4 as long as they lose tomorrow. San Fran has the tiebreak though, so we'll need Houston to lose to Indy next week as well. Not sure who San Fran plays.
Yes it is.
Yes it is.
it is now.
https://twitter.com/jonmachota/status/945087899724337152Earl Thomas went into Cowboys locker room to talk with Dez. Earl to Garrett: “If y’all have the chance, come get me.”
Yet Sissi Brown somehow gets love from the Homers

Kyle probably put more effort into his resignation power point than Hue's put into a game plan

Hopefully the Steelers can help out tomorrow by beating Houston.
This is just not true. Jimmy G was never coming here. Give it a rest.
Jerry Jones is gonna clean house next week. He's a fiesty old goat!
Watch: Bucs' Jameis Winston goes berserk after game-ending fumbleNote: Calling it berserk is going a bit too far, me thinks, but still interesting to watch the clips:

JG is very good man he has all the players believing in him.
I'd like to see what happens next year I think teams will look to hit him and hit him often!
Dez Bryant is a total ass...sorry man but I would have sat him down and not let him come back in the game.
Dak is not who we thought he was.
Wilson of Seattle...MVP he is so under rated I think!
Merry Xmas all ! Well it looks like the Browns slipped on Texan uniforms today against the Steelers. Yates doing his best Kizer imitation..lol.
I may want the Texans to lose but give it up to Hopkins who made an astonishing TD catch against the Steelers.
All u have to do to compare the Steelers to the Browns is look at who they took in the first and 2nd rds last year compared to us..
Makes me sick even thinking about it. And we had twice the number of picks...lmao
So if the Colts beat the Texans do we get the #3 pick as well? I think because of SOS we might still get #4.
I think the lowest our second pick in the first round can be is #6.
Looks like somewhere in the #3-#6 range.

Is it wrong that I was rooting for the Steelers to beat the Texans ...... because it sure felt filthy ... even though it helps us. (theoretically)

It is wrong to root FOR the Steelers. Ever.
What is allowable is to root AGAINST the Texans.
Never root for evil to win.
Know that someone has to loose. Root for that.
Semantics? Maybe. But I rooted for the Texans to lose and got my wish without ever cheering for evil.
c'mon - we just helped you out. Merry Christmas to all.
It is very cool to watch JG finally get his chance.
Lots of people doubted JG. He was a success because he was a Pat etc. He didn't do anything to show he was worth a first etc.
Garoppolo is showing what he can do.
His accuracy and ball placement is top notch.
Quick release, can move, keeps his eyes downfield.
He is the full package.
It is great to watch guys like JG and Wentz succeed.
They show the way to look at college prospects.
It is great to watch guys like JG and Wentz succeed.
To me, it's so disappointing.
Both guys could have been Browns. Depending on your perspective, at least one of those guys SHOULD have been Browns.
From that point of view it is just plain sad.
Updated after the week 16 games, my rankings of coaches who might get fired that nobody cares about predictions:
In the going to be fired/already fired camp:
McAdoo
Pagano
Fox
Lewis
Probably fired, but still not 100% certain:
del Rio
O'Brien
Koetter
50/50:
Joseph
Gruden (only because his name popped up with the Bengals' job)
Would be surprised, but understand:
Caldwell
Bowles
Mularkey
Garrett
McCarthy
Might Retire:
Arians
Jimmy Haslam is the owner:
Jackson
I think there will be at least seven head coach openings (Giants, Colts, Bears, Bengals, Texans, Raiders, and Buccaneers) with several other strong possibilities (Browns, Cardinals).
It's going to be a crazy off-season on the coaching front. I was thinking there might a dearth of coaching candidates, but many of these guys probably shouldn't be head coaches in the first place (McAdoo and Fox immediately come to mind).
I'd also say that Pat Shurmur is a pretty good bet to get a head coaching job with either the Buccaneers or Colts.
And why if we were to be firing Hue we would have done it already to get a jump on the others looking for their HC and staff.
I think Hue is safe...

Most teams that are going to fire their head coach already know that they are going to do it and have their search ready to go as soon as the season is over. Coordinators and position coaches that are already employed can't be interviewed until the season is over anyway.
yeah ok what ever you say...you really got a burr in your saddle over Hue. Its the QB...
