Steeler nation is not happy today with this news.

So who do we now fill with his roster spot?

Part of me says good riddance, this guy has been cancer since 2014.

Part me says, of all the places to make us look bad for trading him New England could be the one.

As well as, if he can’t make it in NE, the league will have to admit we were right and the guy is lost.

Side note, when looking Gordons all pro year up…John Dorsey was executive of the year in 2013.

Everything I want to type right now would be blocked as an expletive.

Why trade with them after they snubbed us??? Why for such a low value?
At least we should've shipped him to an NFC team right?

Ok gonna step away from keyboard before I break my computer.

You know,
This is why the Browns just lose. There is NO WAY i send him to the team that would not trade Jimmy G to me. There is NO WAY an AFC team gets him. But of course, the Pats rehab program goes into full effect, and he turns into an all pro. How Stupid!!.. I would have done Gordon like the cowboys did Dez, make him report to an older adult at ALL TIMES!!!.. But we put in the rehab work, Pats get the wins!!... Oh, and don't tell me that ALL 3 people Hue/Dorsey/Jimmy slick did not all go in on this!! Hell, this sounds like a stupid Dorsey move for sure.

Yeah, if Gordon goes All-Pro style this year, I dunno if I can keep supporting the Browns.

I obviously can't switch because Browns are in my blood, but I may have to just stop watching NFL all together.

So I tend to give the Patriots the benefit of the doubt. They've earned it. Five Super Bowl wins, eight AFC championships, and 17 straight winning seasons will do that (so much for parity.)

That said, I can't help but think they don't really know what they're getting themselves into. The Patriots had a literal murderer on their team in Aaron Hernandez, and they (very reasonably) cut ties with him very early in that process, but now they are trading for a guy who has admitted to shooting at people during his troubled youth.

Even on the football field, what has Gordon really contributed since 2013? It's been a whole lot of lackadaisical effort, not knowing (or caring about) the playbook, suspensions, and look-at-me social media posts. Sounds like a great fit in New England. notallthere

I still think a lot of Gordon's behavior stems from wanting a new contract. This includes skipping training camp and his most recent hamstring 'injury'... it sounds like he's already cleared to play, I'm just saying. But he's still also on the same contract and is basically in the same contractual situation with the Patriots. Had the Browns cut him, he'd get that guaranteed money *plus* whatever any other team offered. Now still the same contract, still a restricted free agency if he finishes the season.

A reasonable person would think ok, just stay on the straight and narrow. Stay sober, learn the playbook, be a good teammate, dominate on the field. The money will come in windfalls. Is this something that Gordon can grasp and apply for a year or longer? Time will tell.

Because trading an young up and coming QB in conference isn’t the same as trading a WR on his literal last chance in the NFL.

As for value, a few NFC teams were talking but the Pats has the best offer.

I don’t think we play the Pats next year and by then, he’ll be a free agent.

"In addition, the club signed WR Rod Streater.

Streater is 6-2, 195-pounds and in his sixth NFL season out of Temple. Originally signed by Oakland as an undrafted free agent in 2012, Streater has appeared in 52 games with the Raiders (36) and 49ers (16). He has recorded 127 receptions for 1,755 yards and 10 touchdowns. He spent the preseason with the Bills. Streater is a native of Burlington, N.J."

It should be clear to anyone that Gordon didn't want to be here, had no intention of expending any effort here, and that he basically engineered his own exit from here. I'd be willing to bet that there was never any hamstring injury, going back to when he finally reported to training camp.

Right? I've been over it since the news broke Saturday. Don't care that he's in the AFC, don't care that he went to the Patriots. Had they traded him to a division rival it would be different. I would bet my last dollar that there is no way "Brady to Gordon", against the Browns, will ever have any impact on our season.

We've had his back for six seasons and it's been one big middle finger right in our faces. Buh-bye Josh. Don't let the door hit you in your ungrateful, no-play-knowing, space cadet, prima donna, cocaine snorting, pot smoking, cough syrup guzzling a$$.

At the end of the day we traded a 7th round pick for a 5th round pick... this chump will be shacked up with a broke drug dealer by Christmas. He confessed to the world all of his misfortune and told how happy he was to be given another chance... one year later he's guzzling Blatz in the parking lot before he walks in late to say his hammy hurts.

So happy the drama is over that I could literally celebrate.

Unfortunately for him, true. Josh Gordon is one of the smoothest liars ever....even on his going away tweet he knows exactly what to say....but, he CAN'T be relied on....he's doomed and I agree perfectly we've swapped a 5th for a 7th with NE....their problem now. Wonder if Corey Coleman has learned anything from his multiple releases....hope he saved some of his money...wonder if he's sold any shoes yet.....GO Browns!!!
