Previously, we would've forced him into a starting/almost starting role way too early and burned him out. We had guys in front of him to to allow him to grow his first season.

Walker is week to week per the Browns podcast. Which is good news they say. Wait I say?
I remember Greedy Williams was week to week prior to the opener in 2020 and I don't think he played a snap all year.
Looked into the Browns media. The Browns media often goes on a tangent on a player and never mentions the players name except under their breath at the beginning of a 90 second diatride of cliché phrases.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
Good news from Breer there. Love seeing the good comments about DPJ and Johnson.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
Wilson needs to learn how to tackle, that was my gripe with him last season and until they say he is hitting the hole and actually putting people on the ground he can re-tool his body all he wants but until he learns to tackle I pass on him. I grew very frustrated with Wilson and Taki last year to many times I saw them in a position to make a play and whiff.

Can't believe I am in a group that is comprised of the best NOT just fans but people on the planet.

I can't say I disagree.
However, at Bama Wilson didn't have that problem, so I am not sure why that seems to be a problem now. Saban is a pretty good defensive coach. You don't play for him unless you are pretty good. At Bama he looked every bit the part.
No doubt something needs to start clicking for the guy. Maybe it is scheme, maybe the newness of the NFL? I don't know but the bulb needs to turn on.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

He's going into his 3rd year. Doesn't that make him a veteran at this point?

It seems like he wants to try and make highlight reel plays every now and then. He's definitely "marketed" himself coming out of college and buys into a hype machine. I'm hoping that, with more time under this coaching staff, he just focuses on fundamentals and the game rather than his brand (or lack thereof).

It's the make or break year, at least here. I don't always buy the year 2 jump. Some guys take 3, especially since we are talking changes in scheme. This is his 2nd in Joe Woods scheme.
But yes, he would be considered a Vet by most metrics. My only caveat is that last year might also be considered a rookie season of sorts.
I am not making excuses for the guy. No doubt he needs to show up and at least show to be a solid back-up player. If not, he goes to another team at some point and maybe pans or or maybe he is destined to be one of those guys who bounces around for the next 4-5 seasons in some capacity or another.
A question has come to mind after i posted....Is he already a decent back-up? What was he, a 4th-5th round pick? I don't remember. Maybe he is about as good as he gets? Is that good enough to be on the team? Not everybody drafted in bound to be a starter. We want them to be, but that's not how it works.

No doubt that Wilson’s ceiling is a backup IMO. It shows just how bad we were when we relied on him to START as a ROOKIE. He sucked lol, but was young and cared.
Yeah, I think he was even later than a 4/5 round pick … so if we can turn him into a backup that’s a good value

IIRC, he got a bit of love pre-draft but then fell into the later rounds for some reason. Us picking him there was considered a steal.

Are we worried about how much time these guys (the ones coming off major injuries) are spending on the sidelines?
