I got the Wii for christmas, it's alright, im already bored of it, the graphics stuck, and besides wii sports, i haven't found a fun game yet.

360...The extra features of the PS3 aren't worth the additional price and there are already a lot of games out there for the 360.

We have Wii with Wii Sports, Madden 07, Trauma Center: SO, and Elebits. Have also downloaded a couple classic games. Wii isn't meant to have the graphics the others do, but it wins with ease of use. As games come out, I'm sure the graphic capabilities will be shown. Metroid should do that without problem.
I haven't played the others, so don't have an opinion.

i have got to agree...the wii isn't about graphics...its about gameplay...
wii sports certainly isn't about graphics...
my kids are having a blast on wii sports....i can see where it would get boring, but you have to remember its just a short game to show you what the controller does....
i've got that GT racing game that came with a steering wheel, and i will say thats pretty cool....
call of duty i have played for like 15 minutes....it was cool but hard...
haven't played zelda yet.....from what i have seen though this is one of the better graphic games, and it was originally made for the gamecube.....
monkey ball seems like monkey ball, and second opinion was pretty neat too...
i can't see how any shooting, racing, or sword-fighting game isn't gonna be sweet once developers learn alittle....

I have the PS3. Thoroughly enjoyed it so far. There's not as many games out, but the thing has only been out a month. This spring there will be a bunch of games coming out that I want. So far I have Resistance:Fall of Man which is great, and NBA 2K7 which is also pretty fun. I have the Motorstorm demo downloaded, which looks like it was be an AWESOME game. Very fun off-road desert racing game. I also have the Gran Turismo HD demo downloaded.
Oh, and if you're into online gaming, screw the Box. Sure, you pay less money for it, but you gotta pay money to play online. In the long run, the PS3's extras that are added into the price make up for it since their online gaming is FREE. That's the reason I will never buy an Xbox.

Do some research yourself. There are plenty of reviews on all the systems by doing a simple search through Google.
IMO the 360 is the best system overall; but it depends on what you want. If you want to do online gaming its by far the best system for this. The Live network is incredible...really too many things to list about it. Its much more than just playing games online; its a entire community. Many of us on here play together from time to time. Yea, its about $50 a year but its well worth it IMO and I haven't met people that use it disagree. The PS3 has gaming online but its far less of a online network then what Live provides.
Graphics on the PS3 and 360 are about the same; from what I have seen some games look a little better on each system. But the difference in minor. The PS3 does come with a BluRay player, but its not an industry standard yet and the system does cost more for this.
As for games; the 360 has the advantage right now but the PS3 will have titles as time goes on. Gears of War is a awesome game for the 360 and Halo 3 will be out in 2007 sometime. These two titles alone to me are worth buying the 360.
Just do your research and make a decision on what you want.

call of duty i have played for like 15 minutes....it was cool but hard... I thought the same thing until I discovered you can turn down the sensitivity of the wiimote in the options on COD3. I turned it down a tad and it was much easier to play...

That is kind of the point of the Wii remote...movement. I love it, but I understand not everyone would. I'm sure some would rather sit in front of the tv holding a controller in their hands.

I can see how some people wouldn't like the Wiimote. I think it's a pretty cool concept myself. If you think about it, people who've grown up playing video games have been using a controller with buttons since the days of Atari. If it is tough, they may give up on it instead of adapting to it. Just like the Sixaxis controller. It has motion sensors that you can use on some games. I downloaded a demo of Motorstorm, which is an offroad racing game, that uses the motion sensors. It's tougher to use since I'm not used to playing that way, but definitely fun. It takes some time getting used to it.

Yep, I agree that the Wii remote probably isn't for everybody. Thing is, we've gotten people in their 80's to play video games with this thing. It's pretty fun, IMO.

I have never played the Wii, but think its a fantastic idea and its great to get people of ALL ages into video games and get people up and moving and getting some excercise while playing instead of sitting on the couch.
I personally think I will prefer the 360 or PS3 because graphics play a big role in what attracts me to a game, but Im glad the Wii is out there and if I get some extra money I would like to have the Wii to compliment my 360. I think it would be great for parties and multiplayer games.

Ive played em all to some extent. i have the PS3 60gb.
The Wii is about graphicaly the same as the PS2 and Xbox and the PS3 and X360 are real close but night and day better than the Wii.
The 360 has the games right now and lower priced but if you fast forward time you would be better off with the PS3. It has a blueray (it is the future) and the games when they start to come will put the 360 in about the same spot it was in before the new system releases.
You cant go wrong with the 360 pr PS3 but in the long run you will appreciate the 3 more.

I agree. Now, when I get a $3000 television (which I never will), I'll worry about video game graphics.

See that's the thing, I have 2 HD big screens in my house. One in the living room and one in my finished basement, so the graphics are a big difference to me.
I just wish Nintendo would have put more into the Wii's graphics because the overall concept of the Wii is outstanding.

It has a blueray (it is the future) Not necessarily; right now movie makers are split on HDDVD and BluRay. And games are not even close to needing the storage of the format. when they start to come will put the 360 in about the same spot it was in before the new system releases. Not sure what you mean by this... Plus the PS3's are not selling; I was in Best Buy today and there was a employee trying to sell them when you walked in. When I left after about a half hour he still had them sitting there. The 360 still led sales over the holidays, then the wii and ps3. If you do online gaming the 360 smokes the competition easily. As for the Wii; its a fun system from what people say and for gamers that are not concerned with graphics. For me the graphics are very important and truly add to the gaming experience. I consider the wii as a beginner system or for non-serious gamers.

If graphics weren't important we'd all still be playing the original NES.

Because of the graphics?? Not just that, but it is a major factor; the lack of HD, overall system power, online features to name a few more. I do like the web browser that the wii has added; I wish the 360 would do the same. Plus the games that are coming out for the wii do not interest me. I know you like the system and thats cool, but its not for me.

Actually, the internet browser sucks, IMO. And, I never said the system is for everyone....but to say it's for beginners is kind of crappy. Plenty of hard core gamers love it.

[color:"red"] Plus the PS3's are not selling; I was in Best Buy today and there was a employee trying to sell them when you walked in. When I left after about a half hour he still had them sitting there. [/color]
Maybe where you are but at every store here.....they fly off the shelves as soon as they come in.
As for the 360 having bigger numbers during the Christmas season. one can account that way less than a half mill hit the shelves as of New year.
TRUST and BELIEVE me.....when next years Christmas time comes and with another explosion of games to come before then the PS3 will regain the top spot again. Its nearly a given!!!!
This is coming from me who loves BOTH systems....including the Wii.
Had the Wii gotten the PS3 and 360 graphics....it would prolly rule!!!!
PS. Graphics is the measuring stick for gaming systems...as long as you have the titles to go with it though.
You dont have to win every game just the next one!

I can vouch for the PS3 not selling. I've been to numerous stores and the PS3 is in stock everywhere. Wii is nowhere to be found, however.
PS3 won't be a leader until the price cuts in half.

I got a PS3 for Christmas and my mother-in-law got a Wii, so I've played those two extensively. The Wii is an excellent system. We had a blast at Christmas playing Wii Sports and the game Trauma Center. Better yet, the system really engaged my father and father-in-law like nothing I've seen on the PC or another console (my father is a Madden addict too). There's just something about the Wii's Wii-mote that really appeals to the pinball crowd. My mother-in-law also got Zelda, but there's little to no chance she'll play it. It's far too complex for her. Would I buy a Wii for my house? No. Madden on the Wii was annoying as hell since I have small hands. I also had arm pain the day after playing. In fact, everyone did. Which brings me to my PS3.....
From what I've seen so far, the PS3 is an excellent, quiet, and powerful machine. We're going to use it for gaming, DVDs, Blu-Ray, and photo slide shows. Until the network video/music capabilities improve, we'll still be using the DSM-520 for multimedia, but it has promise if Sony ever wakes up and makes it compatible with uPnP servers on a home network. As for games, I bought Madden and RFOM and I'm enjoying both. Madden is kind of crappy because of the mixed-up controls and because of the features they left out from the PC version (slide protection, individual blitzes), but still fun and the player models are lot better than the PC version. The animations are far superior on the PC though. RFOM is great on an HDTV and 5.1/7.1. My computer has surround sound, but the system in my livingroom blows away those little Logitech computer speakers. It's kind of hard to play an FPS with the controller, but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. The downloadable demos have been awesome. The Internet browser sucks on a 1080i RPTV, but those with LCDs will probably like it. Now, would I have paid $600 out of my own pocket for this machine? Probably not. But I'm glad I got it as a gift.
I haven't seen the XBOX 360, but with a year's headstart I it had better be more polished than the PS3

All this System vs System talk is dumb. It's what you like. It sounds like some people love the Wii and won't buy a system as expensive as PS3. That's fine, as long as you like the system and have fun with it. That's what's important. If you are a Halo guy/gal, well your not going to buy a PS3 over and XBox360. If your a Socom guy/gal, well it's vise versa. A Zelda fan is going to buy a Wii.
I buy systems for the games I like. I like Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy 13 & 14 are contracted to Sony. I also like Metal Gear, and Metal Gear Solid 4 is going to be release on the PS3. I was a fan of Socom, still like playing 3 every now and then, heard the Combined Assult wasn't much of an upgrade from 3 though but Socom 4 on the other hand has a lot of fans excited and it will be released on the PS3.
I am saving up for the PS3 because the games that I want to play will be released for that system. I just need about another $150 and I will be able to buy the system, another controller, memory card and RFOM.
