This news made me cry for real.

I am so overwhelmed with happiness for Bernie and his family. He has suffered for a long time. Four years on a waiting list while his body disintegrated. Fighting seizures, crazy weight loss and gain. His body falling apart from the stress.

Yet Bernie remained optimistic and positive. "U Matter" his mantra.

"Go home Bernie and enjoy your life. You are a good man."

I’m glad, but surprised he got a liver after his past drinking caused the issue. They won’t give a smoker a new heart or lungs, just saying I’m surprised.

The threshold is 6mos sobriety, sometimes they'll make an exception.
