Very few were complaining about Obama at the time. He was deporting hundreds of thousands from the beginning. Many said he wasn't being tough enough. So, I ask you, where were the protests, where were the riots, where were the "Hitler!" chants, where were the politicians heading to foreign countries to make sure wife-beaters were being treated right? What about the media demonizing his every move? Politicians telling him to get out of their cities? I'll help you -- none of that existed. If you can't see that contrast, you're being "willfully ignorant". I'll help you with the rest as well, all that stuff in the paragraph above this one is the reason for the violence and two unfortunate deaths.

Remember when the Jury found Rittenhouse not guilty in Kenosha shootings? I’ll remind the MAGAts …. Rittenhouse, 18, was found not guilty on all counts on November 19, 2021, regarding the August 2020 shootings in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The jury acquitted him of homicide and recklessly endangering safety charges after he pleaded self-defense, finding he acted lawfully. (But the firearm wasn't legal for him to have in the first place) The verdict followed over three days of deliberations. Applauded by all MAGAts.
A VA nurse is murdered by ICE after he was disarmed while carrying a legal gun with permit to do so. Are you MAGAts hypocrites or just plain Nazis? Which is it?

Trump’s removal policy seems geared to focus on “criminal” aliens, it also vaguely references broad sections of immigration law and categories of non-citizens that essentially make all unauthorized immigrants “priorities” for removal at any time. The Trump policy is governed by the overarching principle that no group of immigrants will be exempted or excluded from enforcement through prosecutorial discretion. Obama focused on national security threats, immigrants convicted of serious crimes, and recent border crossers. The memo also laid out factors that should be considered when exercising prosecutorial discretion to deprioritize or not take action against otherwise removable persons, including strong family or community ties and length of time in the country. When you combine that with sending thousand of agents into a single city, targeting people by their color and not probable cause, detaining people because they "don't have their paperwork", detaining over 180 American citizens, and look like a military operation rather than immigration enforcement it matters. People want those Obama removed, removed. Only extremists advocate a man who raised three sons, all Marine veterans who has been in this country for over three decades with no criminal record swooped up on the streets and detained or deported. Narciso Barranco, an undocumented immigrant father of three U.S. Marines, was violently detained by ICE agents in Santa Ana, California, in June 2025 while working as a landscaper. After a viral video showed the 48-year-old being beaten, he was released on a $3,000 bond on July 15, 2025, to fight his deportation. Per NYT I'm not sure of you're pretending not to see the stark differences here or simply had no idea. I highly doubt you would see much if any such social outrage if things were conducted the same way as they were under Obama. It's not about deportations. It's about the methods and tactics involved.
