Not sure how my comment was conflated into an attack on the OP and other season ticket holders? I don't claim to be some superior type of fan, and never have. I am suggesting that the risk of being let down/disappointed/crushed is inherent with any sports fandom. Its part of the deal, and nobody should know that better than we do. The decision to at least try to remain optimistic is mine, and mine alone. Others can carry on as they see fit, obviously.
I certainly didn't read it that way. You comment seemed reasonable and was articulated just fine.
