I'm sad about this. Jim brings the game to life with his game day play by play.
Hope he beats it again
Yep. That's Jimmy. He's facing a long journey of chemo; but we're in his thoughts and prayers.
One of my closest friends finally lost the battle to leukemia.
It is a tough disease to fight.
I wish Jim the very best in his fight.
One of my two best friends has leukemia.. He's been going through the after effects of the treatment now for 9 months.. we almost lost him a few times.. My friend never complains about anything. He always has a positive outlook. But this is tough on him. I hear it in his voice and see it on his face.
This stinks. Prayers for strength to Jim & his family.
He is one of those men that everybody is pulling for. Lots of love and prayers are headed his way I"m sure. Jim D is one of the good guys.
Agreed. Prayers to you Jim. I wish you the best.
j/c:
Apparently he will be in the booth tonight to do the game.
Piling on; sending more prayers and good energy to him as well.
I wish him well. Cancer has probably affected everyone in some way.
We are awaiting test results on someone to determine the kind and stage.
There have been a lot of advances in treatment. I hope the answers are close.
glad to see him back today
Wow, just saw this.
We need you for our first Super Bowl Championship!
Prayers out Jim!
We love him.
He's the voice of/for an entire community.
And wherever we are, we're always together when we hear Jimmy calling a game. We can see the field in our mind's eye, while Jimmy paints the picture for us.
And no one cheers a Browns TD with more joy. Jimmy D is the guy I want in my man cave on game day. Yeah- I'd consider a handful of you other losers, but Jim Donovan is always on my side of the velvet rope.
I have to admit: I'm pulling for this man- whom I've never met- as as hard as I would for a blood family member.
We are born to our individual families. We find/join our communities by choice. And those families are just as valid as blood.
Jimmy is one of us.
I'm hoping he's on the call tomorrow? Haven't heard anything else
Jim was on the call today, but he is going straight to chemo and Chris Rose will do the play by play until Jim hopefully comes back.
Jim and Nathan both choked up when signing off after the game. Sad.
Prayers to Jim and his family.
nice video from the team ... prayers to Jim
Outstanding! Ring that bell! Sending prayers as well. Great news!
I saw the thread title and my heart sank. I forgot there was an old thread but was elated to see the most recent news. Man, I love to listen to him call Browns games.
Agreed. Can we change the title to this thread? It gives a off bad juju when it's on the main page.
Great News! Can’t wait to hear Jimmy in a few months!
